20250710 I wanted a delicious and nice meal since I'm heading toward home tomorrow, and because today is a special day for me. I came here because the patio is dogfriendly. I parked and walked inside to use the restroom before getting a table in the patio. To my surprise, this restaurant was very busy... on a Thursday night. I had to wait for the hostess to seat the people already waiting at the door when I walked up. It didn't take long for them to take me to a table. I got my pups from the car, and sat at the table. A very nice waitress gave me the menu. Then brought me some water, and that was when she told me that I will have a new waitress. While l9ok8ng through the menu, I was surprised to find a list of restaurant rules for my pups. đ± Fortunately, my pups are pretty well behaved. After deciding on a dish, I waited for awhile, longer than I expected since the couple next to me was already getting their food. Fear of being forgotten, I finally asked someone to get my waitress. Once my waitress, Whitney, showed up, she was excellent! Very friendly, thoughtful, and attentive. I really appreciated her. Even though it was a busy evening, she gave me the time needed. She made my dinner very enjoyable. I ordered the ribeye with streamed veggies and Chef's Garlic Butter topping, and dark chocolate mousse dessert. The medium well ribeye has a delicious grilled flavor and perfectly prepared, and even better with the garlic butter. Highly recommended! The dark chocolate mousse dessert was good, and it was more dense than fluffy. When I come back, I will definitely come back and try another dish. Thank...
Read moreMade a reservation for my staff appreciation dinner 6 weeks ahead of time. Went back and fourth 7 times with the manager and confirmed reservation. Showed up for dinner ten minutes prior (6pm reservation, all showed up at 5:50, after driving in from Grand Rapids and East Grand Rapids) and was told we didnât have a reservation. After showing the email where the event manager confirmed our reservation, they got who I had been emailing with. After running around and then printing off the emails, said she âtexted to confirm the day before and I canceled itâ. I showed her my phone with no text to which she said, we donât have space for you. I said, my whole staff is here, and we made reservations. She said, let me see what I can do. Came back a couple minutes later and said they were cleaning off a table for us and we would be seated very soon (approx 6:05). They didnât seat us until 45 minutes later once I got up and asked again. In this time another couple came in for a reservation and were also told that they had canceled their reservation the day before via text. The lady said she never got a text. All in all, the food was good. But an apology would have gone a really long way. We got a $11 appetizer âfor the inconvenienceâ. I would never attempt to make reservations here again and rely on them having it. Maybe it was a one time accident (and also for the other couple that it also happened to at the same time as us) but again; an apology and sincere actions that they were sorry this happened would have gone a long way but everyone acted like we were the issue and was less...
Read moreI had low expectations from the start. First clue - no pepper mill at the table, and unrefrigerated mayonnaise in a bottle with the tableside condiments. Second clue - Caesar salad had red onion on it, and the dressing was sweet and creamy. That's not a Caesar salad! Real Caesar salad dressing is savory garlicky umami with nothing but dressed romaine, croutons, parmesan, and perhaps some freshly ground pepper. BBQ Shrimp was overcooked, dry, and rubbery. Where was the BBQ molasses sauce? It was much needed! Kobe sirloin steak was undercooked and underseasoned, but surprisingly tender. It needed to be salted a little more and cooked at a higher heat to help develop a proper crust. Sautéed mushrooms had barely even touched the pan and were served in a watery juice with grey beef fat trimmings - really unappetizing on the plate, had a rubbery texture, and they had very little flavor other than salt from the juice they were in. Cooking longer without any added moisture would have resulted in a more tender texture and a more developed mushroom flavor. Garlic mashed potatoes were cold and dry, not creamy. Frozen mashed potatoes from IKEA are better. Creme brûlée was instant custard made from a powder (to be expected at the price point, though). Overall, the food wasn't really worth the price because of all the simple, common sense mistakes that any line cook worth their salt should know to avoid. That said, service was prompt and attentive, and the atmosphere was really nice - not at all what you might expect from...
