Okay, sit right back and you'll hear a tale, a tale of a fateful dog... I have a few things to say, all good. This is really 3 reviews in one, but they all get 5 stars, so maybe it should be a 15 star review? Review 1 - Visiting the cart. My family has been out to visit Frankie Frankk's hot dog cart twice now, once downtown and once since he moved out on Avent Ferry on the farm. It's a 25 minute drive, but worth every minute of it. Every hot dog we had was perfect. From my son's simple plain dog (which Frank tested the temperature of before serving, that's not NY authentic, they don't really care about food safety on the streets of the city) to my "Surprise me" request that yielded me a chili cheese dog topped with hot honey and crumbled Doritos. My wife goes off menu because her perfect dog is just brown mustard and sweet relish. My daughter girl after my own heart, sticks with my traditional order of the City Dog, or what we just call "the works" back home: a natural casing, all beef, Sabrett's hot dog with Sabrett's spicy brown mustard, Sabrett's sauerkraut, and most importantly, Sabrett's onions in sauce. The perfect balances of flavors to soothe the soul. Frank has some great combinations and the ability to just customize whatever toppings you want from the dozens he has on hand. Review 2 - The hot sauce. Apparently Frank is also a graphic designer, so he sells a hot sauce that he buys without a label and for fun, every month he designs a label. I bought a bottle expecting a simple cayenne and vinegar sauce, like that other Frank's Hot Sauce, but oh no, this one has multiple peppers and multiple flavor ingredients. It's truly a way above average sauce. I bought it for the label and I'm devouring it for the taste. Review 3 - Catering. Yes, catering. We hired Frank to cater my retirement party. He handled the 50 guests at my party, while also selling to the neighborhood (as he was set up by the clubhouse by our neighborhood pool). We just gave our guests tickets so he knew not to charge them individually. Made the party so easy, we didn't have to worry about chips or drinks because Frank had it covered. Everyone was surprised and loved it (yeah, I brought a home-made giant salad with some smoked turkey on the side for those that don't eat beef). My mother....my dear sweet mother...my mother who hasn't had beef in 15 years....my mother who shrugs and says "it was okay" leaving a Michelin star restaurant, my mother got a City Dog ("You said it was authentic, so I have to") and her response was, "I've been dressing my veggie dogs wrong all these years. This was the perfect balance of toppings. It was just perfect." Oy! TL;DR If you are within an hour drive of Holly Springs and you like hot dogs, you owe it to yourself to come get one. Truly.

Frankie's Frankks is a BANGING lunch spot off of Avent Ferry in Holl Springs. CoWorker and I approached this unassuming little spot for lunch one day. I told him I wanted a good hotdog and since he lived in the area, let me know a spot. He found Frankie's Frankks. As we pulled up...we were skeptical...not going to lie about it. Worst case scenario...we just never go back. 🤣😭 First thing I noticed was the special dog menu and the make your own menu...then the microphone on Franks hat...then the Live feed on the phone in the back...BINGO...the sign. Anyone with enough confidence to stream their food business must have something going on. I began to follow and said heck with it...I'm a bit adventurous, give me a Lou Dog and an All American. Lou Dog: 8.5/10 All American: 9.3/10 Frank was a good sport with the scoring and surprised about the Lou Dog score as evidently, that's his most popular seller. I returned a couple days later for another spectacular lunch and will continue to do so as long as I'm in the area...and when Saturdays become part of the normal business hours, my family will too. Frankie and Mikey are incredibly kind, customer service is grade A, and the dogs are like no other. If you ever find yourself in the Holly Springs area looking for a great lunch spot that won't break bank and will keep you coming back...do yourself a favor. Stop by Frankie's Frankks...you won't be disappointed.

Frankie Frankk’s hot dogs are nothing short of extraordinary, and the New York Classic Dog is the star of the show. This masterpiece features an all-beef Sabrett hot dog with a natural casing that delivers a perfect snap, bursting with flavor. The combination of spicy mustard, tangy onion sauce and crisp sauerkraut on top is a nod to authentic New York street food, all wrapped up in a fresh, soft Martin’s potato roll that adds a touch of sweetness. Every bite is a true taste of the city, making it an unforgettable experience. While the New York Classic steals the spotlight, the Carolina Dog is also worth every bite. It’s a flavorful blend of rich chili, creamy slaw, with yellow mustard, all perfectly balanced on that same Martin’s potato roll. Frankie Frankk’s has taken the art of the hot dog to new heights, making it a must-visit for anyone who loves this iconic American food! One dog is simply not enough… definitely going to be a Frankie faithful!

THE BEST HOTDOGS EVER! A general consensus is that New York has the best hotdogs. Frank has brought the classic New York hotdogs to NC and somehow made them 10x better than NY dogs. Not only does he have very creative dogs on his menu but you can mix and match all of these amazing toppings and create your own. There are so many options it’s unreal, you might think to yourself how can you have a lot of variety when it comes to a hotdog cart? There are tons of variety at FrankieFrankks you can truly make your perfect dog for yourself.

Now to move on to the service, Frank is the nicest and most down to earth guy you’ll meet. He really tries to get to know and be as genuine to all his customers. Frank honestly treats every customer like family. Whenever I go and get a dog it’s like going to see a good friend. Not only that but the amount of care he gives to the Holly Springs High School students is truly amazing to see. Frank made the decision to come and set up early so the High School students can come and grab some food for lunch. Not only does he open early for the students but he has a special student meal deal for an amazing price! It really shows how much he cares for each one of his customers.

The atmosphere is always good at FrankieFrankks, from the amazing tent and table design THAT HE CREATED. All the way to the music he’s playing it just brings a great vibe. Frank has made a lifetime customer in me and my family for sure, I always look forward to going to FrankieFrankks and getting literally the best dogs ever. If you haven’t already stopped by, I urge you to go and grab some dogs you will...
