We live close by and I saw them on Google maps, they offer take out and I was in the mood for something different for lunch. Wife ordered the chicken salad sandwich with fries. They looked good and she enjoyed them, the fries were great. I orders a crab cake sandwich with asparagus. The crab cake was on the small side, but flavor was great. My largest gripe with the meal is the $2 up charge for asparagus, of which I was given 8 pieces. Also tried the peanut butter pie, if you go don't pass it by. The food we good, but honestly I don't think the price/value was there. We may try them again, maybe eat in next time and see how it goes, but my first impression was meh.

Great selection of tasty, home-style classic American fare in a cozy, equally classic American diner-esque space. We stopped by Blue Ridge Cafe & Catering for dinner after a long day of hiking around Shenandoah, and it was exactly what we needed. The food was tasty, warm, and nutritious; we got their salmon with two sides of steamed veggies and meatloaf with a Caesar salad and mashed potatoes. Both dishes were massive and delicious. The salmon was tender, with a lovely slightly charred crust on the outside, and served with a flavourful butter. The veggies were all super fresh and went great with the salmon.

Food absolutely disgusting. Gross. My husband got the chicken Alfredo and the sauce was runny like a soup. My rib eye sandwich was nasty, I ate it because I just got off from a long day at work and was tired. When our waitress served the food and we mentioned how runny the Alfredo sauce was she said “I can’t do anything about that”. Later when we asked for the check she looked at the leftover Alfredo and said let me get the manager. The manager, she was caring & superb. She took off the Alfredo, and even my Dr Pepper. She offered desert but we declined. We won’t be back but at least the manager cared.

We hired Sue and the team at Blue Ridge Café & Catering Co. for our wedding celebration, which was originally planned for 2020, but was postponed until 2021 due to the pandemic. From our initial tasting and meeting with Sue all the way to our wedding reception a year later than anticipated, we had nothing short of a wonderful experience with Sue and the team at BRCC. After comparing catering services in the area, we found that Blue Ridge Café and Catering Company provided the most affordable of options, without sacrificing ANY amount of professionalism and quality! For our wedding reception, BRCC did a fabulous job providing food and drinks for our cocktail hour, dinner and bar service throughout the night, and kindly accommodated our requests around food substitutions for our guests with dietary restrictions. Although we decided to bring in desserts from a local donut shop, BRCC also offered to set out and arrange desserts for us, and did a fabulous job! Sue works closely with local events rental services, and along with her team, assisted with tables, linens, and flatware set up, and tear down, and rental contract coordination. The BRCC also assisted in setting up ceremony seats for us-they went above and beyond. Sue was incredibly supportive and responsive to our many questions, and menu changes along the way. She offered helpful suggestions while also doing a wonderful job supporting our vision for our wedding celebration! Also, when unexpected circumstances due to the pandemic hit and we had to reschedule our larger celebration, while not necessary, Sue and the staff at Blue Ridge Catering were incredibly flexible and accommodating, and kindly allowed us to transfer our contract to the following year, without any hassle. We're incredibly grateful to have had Sue and the team at Blue Ridge Catering as our wedding caterer, and would highly recommend them-thank you Sue and the Blue Ridge Café & Catering...

Not the best. We waited at least 5 mins.to even be noticed for seating. Then we ordered and the food came. I got the sampler. Two shrimp, three scallops,a scattering of burnt calm leftover pieces and about a half dozen watery oysters incased in burnt breading, as were all things on my plate. Anniversary dinner at the place we had our reception in......wife and I figured...stuff happens. Then we saw the hostess come in and begin seating people in flip flops. She was in and out of the kitchen and all dining areas. Then, after waiting10 mins for the owner, who saw us and turned around,we left. Shame, my wifes food was amazing. Mine, burnt and tiny portions. It will be a long time before I'm comfortable shelling out 60 plus dollars for that level of food again at that establishment.

Good luck..........

2 Days later....... After leaving my phone number, I was contacted by a very rude and angry Sean Hayes. He didn't like the answers he got,he became insulting and tried his best to make his lousy food and poor service my fault. He tried to talk down to and criticize me at every turn that he wasn't yelling over my every word. I finally hung up on this"adult". Seems to me like he attacked the messenger.

DO NOT give this man your number, even on a complaint, unless you want to be insulted and bullied by this thug with an apron.

And still waiting on the refund YOU OFFERED. Just saying.

It has now been 2 weeks since my first review. Other then the hatefull call from the owner,my wife and I have received nothing from this"sorrowful"owner. I guess his word is like his food....trust it at your own risk. 60+ Dollars is not a cheap lesson, but one we,and our friends, won't...

Let me start out by saying I go to this place at leasttwice a month. I went on Satuday July 22nd and it was just awful. The food was good and the waitress we had kim was great even though she was attending to the bar patrons. We arrived in the evening and The lady owner was taking names so you can be seated. She was awful at this! We said party of 2. 15 to 20min wait. Ok it is saturday night. People came in before us and after. Everytime she would come back to the front she would put her finger up and take a drink from a big cup through a straw and be so un raveled like she had not a clue. She had no idea who she put on the list and everytime she saw you in this small area would ask are you on the list... This was a small area. To make this shorter there were at least 10 tables open. Said she did not have the staff. Instead of sitting people after 20 mins of waiting so maybe they can get water we ended up waiting 40 mins. When we said something she got defensive and said I am doing the best i can. I explained we knew she had a staff problem but being the owner telling people 15 mins on a 40. Min wait was crazy. If she would had said to all of the guest there it would be 30 to 40 mins people could of changed their mine and try this resturant another time. I explained that to her and all she did was blame it on a waitress that did not come in. Again 1 waitress out and 10 tables open and no one is being seated. Not even in the bar area where we did end up being seated. This place needs some help with staff and maybe the lady should not be running the...
