This place was HORRIBLE. They were short staffed so I will give them that but that's about it. We sat down and after thirty minutes I noticed my kids pizza sitting under the window to stay warm, it continued to be there for another fifteen minutes before finally the waitress came over and asked if we wanted the kids food.As someone who has worked restaurants for twenty years bringing young kids there food after 45 minutes of waiting should be a given, especially considering I saw it sit there for that long as all others around us who btw got there after us get fed. I had ordered a steak and cheese plain and I was told after bringing pizza it would be another fifteen minutes before it came. As my kids ate there greasy pizza that had been under a heat lamp sitting for way longer than it should she finally after almost an hour brought my steak and cheese with lettuce and tomato all over it. By then it had been over an hour and I refused to wait any longer as they would have prob tried to pick it off my sandwich, they took it off my check and I left hungry on my birthday with my kids who hated their pizza. I would rate lower if I could, by far the worst experience I've ever had and having the experience. Also not very clean, bathroom was disgusting. On plus side I feel the place had real potential and loved the old pictures. I hope sincerely they can clean there act up before someone else has to endure this...
Read moreSome of the best Italian food I've had. I lived in Europe, traveled to Italy..etc...and most big name Italian places here in the U.S. don't get it right. Here...they do. ESPECIALLY the Bruschetta. Most places that serve Bruschetta serve some sort of mush or slop or put balsamic vinegar in it. Fabio's not only makes it fresh, but the bread is fresh, and instead of serving it on litttttle bits of bread, they serve a good quantity...enough to make it a meal on its own.
The pizza is amazing, but I guess that's all in what your preference is. I haven't tried everything on their menu yet, and there are a few items I wouldn't recommend...but like I said..preference. The quantity of food they give you is awesome. The prices seem to be on par with other big name Italian food places, however the serving size is way more.
The only thing I realllly wish they would make would be penne al arrabiata. I love spicy food.
Service is great, friendly, and the place seems clean, I've gone more than several times, and I haven't seen dirty tables or anything like that. It reminds me a lot of a Mom and Pop Italian food place in Europe. Also, the times I've gone, it hasn't been busy...so there isn't a line to wait in. Usually you go up to the counter and order for lunch time, but dinner time waitresses are there.
If I had to give it between a 1 and a 10 rating (10 being the best), I would...
Read moreI’m local and first time here. Went for dinner with 3 adults and 2 kids at 6:30. Place was half empty or less. Took 10 min after being seated just to take our drink order. I expected the service time not to improve and was correct. After ordering, it took another 45 min to get our meals. Place was probably about half full at that point. The excuse was that the kitchen was busy with take-out orders.
Adults meals were tasty but kids meals (penne and meatballs with butter) were not. Penne was swimming in greasy ‘butter’ sauce. It was more like movie theater butter liquid.
Took more time to get a to-go box for an adult dinner and then more time to get our check.
I think the biggest problem here is lack of management and being understaffed. The wait staff seemed stressed and bickered with each other as to which tables they owned. I never saw a manager walk around to check on things in the dining area either.
I get the feeling this is really a take out place that has tables. I don’t think I’ll be coming back with so many other options around with way better service. Not sure why this got 4/5 stars, but maybe those reviewers only ate lunch here or got takeout or they have biased opinions from being regulars. Really was hoping...
