I wanted stuffed shells, and I decided to go to Disalvo's. I used to eat there 20 years ago when I worked in the area. They had the best Italian food around, in my opinion. I ordered online and went in to pickup on a Friday (Easter Weekend). I was given a receipt and sent to a back counter to pick up my food. It was my first time there to pick up. I really didn't know the process. Correct me if I'm wrong but usually takeout is at the front counter? Anyway, The man that was back there was really hurried for the ticket. I hadn't even looked at it yet. He snatched it, looked at it, and didn't really say much after. That didn't bother me. After a couple of minutes, this guy came back with what I assumed was my food...He slammed it sideways on the counter. I was really confused. When I looked in the bag..it was my food. My stuffed shells are what he slammed on the counter. Now, it was in the container upside down. It was so, disrespectful. I swallowed so hard. I had no words. I should have left it there, but, I'm not one to cause a scene. I'm not really sensitive but, I've never experienced anything like that in my life. Not sure if he was having a bad day, but, I know that I didn't deserve that. His attitude was duly noted. The other guy asked me if I wanted something to drink, and if I was an Uber eats person. No, no thank you, I'm just a customer. I hate that I can't even give this review 5 stars. The shells were good, but my rolls were half baked. It was really the fact that I had to rearrange my food, before I could even eat it. Disalvo's has great food and I've wanted it again since. But, that guy made me feel really bad. This was our very first time at Disalvo’s, and it completely blew us away. If I could give this place 10 stars, I absolutely would!
From the moment we arrived, the customer service was spectacular. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and family-oriented. The owner even came over to introduce himself, and when we mentioned it was our first visit, they genuinely thanked us for coming. As a welcome, they were kind enough to treat us to bruschetta and cappuccino on the house — such a thoughtful gesture that made us feel so appreciated. That personal touch, along with their warmth, truly set the tone for the entire experience.
As for the food — wow. We ordered a little of almost everything: spaghetti pomodoro, a large Sicilian cheese and pepperoni pizza, bruschetta, clams oreganato, chicken wings, French fries, zeppolis, and coffee. We also had the pasta fagioli soup, which was excellent. Truly, every single dish was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. Not one thing disappointed.
The staff and atmosphere made us feel like family — so friendly, kind, and accommodating. Honestly, I don’t know why this place isn’t completely full every night because it deserves to be.

Read moreI order from this location often enough. I have never had any major issues until last night. I ordered the philly steak stromboli, which I get everytime. When I received my food it was extremely greasy, which I don't think anything of because of all the cheese content. Then I notice it tastes a bit funny, so I put it to the side. I figured it would be better cold. I wake up in the middle of the night and my stomach is turning. After vomiting for about 30 mins. I tried to lay back down. I was in so much pain I had to get back up and vomit again. Finally I wake up this morning, and call to tell them my experience. One lady rushed me off and passed me onto who I assumed was the manager. Who then proceeded to cut me off while I was talking, tell me everything is made to order so he doesn't see how I could have gotten sick, then tell me he doesn't know what I ate prior to the stromboli, it could be something else. Now I've heard this man yell at his staff and demean them in front of customers, but I had no idea he would do the same thing to customers.
