Dino's Pizza — Restaurant in Holyoke

Was my first time getting food here. Was working right down the road and ordered out for myself and a worker. The menu looked impressive. We ordered online. Got a confirmation email indicating it would take about 45 minutes for delivery. After 50 minutes I called and politely made sure my order hadn’t been received. Man who answered phone was rude. Conversation was very brief. Took another twenty minutes for the food to arrive even though the place is literally less than two miles away. I had ordered a small pizza well done. My partner ordered a cheeseburger grinder. My pizza was disgusting. The crust wasn’t even fully cooked let alone well done. The middle of the pizza was like soup. Drastically undercooked. The Hamburg on the pizza tasted like it was rotten. My coworker said his Hamburg grinder also tasted funny. The burger patties on the Grinder were very thin and probably went bad. Overall....I will never go back to this place. I threw my pizza away and my coworker didn’t eat much of his grinder before tossing it. We then went to a local sit down restaurant and ate. I looked Up some of the other reviews and saw that the staff was historically rude so I felt it would be fruitless to call and complain. I paid for the food on a credit card which I will simply dispute and not return...

I haven’t had their pizza in years! So I can’t really comment on it. But I can say, that they have hands-down the best Indian food in Holyoke!! (OK, well it’s the only Indian food in Holyoke, pretty much… But that said, it can hold its own against some of the great Indian restaurants in Northampton.

As far as their Italian food, the only thing I’ve tried is there Alfredo - but it’s really good.

My favorite part of Dino is though, and the reason I gave it five stars, is because the owner is a true community activist in that during Covid, when people were stuck in their houses under quarantine, he would give people who couldn’t afford it delivered meals for free. It doesn’t get any more respectable than that. The fact that the owner did that makes this one of the best places in the city!

I recently ordered a Paneer Tikka Masala pizza from Dino’s, a vegetarian dish, but was instead served a Chicken Tikka Masala pizza. As a strict vegetarian who has never consumed meat in my life, this was extremely distressing. When I tried to explain the mistake to the staff, they were incredibly rude and dismissive. One staff member falsely claimed that I had ordered chicken and even insisted that she had clarified this with me, none of which happened. Instead of offering an apology, she began shouting and verbally attacking me.

Mistakes can happen, but the lack of respect, accountability, and basic customer service was shocking. If you're someone who values dietary preferences and expects courteous treatment, I strongly recommend staying away from...
