We visited the Shrimp Landing Seafood restaurant / trailer or truck, in the spring of 2025. It is basically an outdoor eatery being served out of a trailer. The picnic tables gave it a rustic pier feel. It was nice having a meal out in nature, watching the water and birds. The folks who run this eatery were friendly and nice folks. The food itself was pretty good at an arguably fair price. Prices of course are subject to different peoples opinions. Although we found the menu to be very limited. I do like that they have a different special option for each day of the week. You should be aware that you either take out this food or you can choose the option to eat on location at one of the tables. There are some umbrella shades. But you are out in the elements, which means hot sun, rain, wind, etc. But in nice weather, it was an enjoyable visit. I probably would not elect to sit and eat in the summer sun when the temperature runs in the 90’s. But that’s just me. They say that they can get pretty busy in the afternoon. We visited early on a Saturday to avoid this, and it worked out well for us. But it was getting pretty busy between 12:30-1PM. So maybe plan ahead. They had one unisex restroom available for folks needs. All in all it was a decent meal on what was a nice day for us. Yes we were fortunate having nice weather. Yes we will probably return again. But we’re too far away just to pop in. So for us it would be pre-planed ahead of time and definitely assuring reasonable weather circumstances.

If you love fresh seafood and don't mind eating outdoors this place is for you. We sat under the bridge and had a wonderful breeze even though it was blazing hot outside. Hubs and I shared the combo with shrimp, clams and red fish. The fish was in nice thick squares and delicious. The clams were crunchy and a bit dry. I don't recommend them. The shrimp was medium size and fresh but didn't really have a good spice or flavor to the coating. However, the coating was light which is great! I hate it when the batter is more than the seafood. The portions were smaller than I expected considering the price - except for the fries!! WAY TOO MANY FRIES! MOSTLY FRIES! They are good, battered fries don't get me wrong, but we threw away the box half full of fries AFTER eating. Needs more seafood for the price. Usually we can share a meal like this and feel full. I wasn't satisfied and I don't eat much. However, if you eat all the fries you'd be good for hours! NOPE 😵‍💫 I should have taken pictures but we were with friends and I didn't.

What a great place. I ended up stopping here because it was the only place I could find that listed the small scallops that the Crystal River area is known for on their menu. It was exactly what you want out of a seafood dive: amazing seafood, at a great price (considering what you're getting). For the reviews that say it's pricey, of course it's pricey for a food truck... it's fresh seafood straight from the bay. It's better than some pretentious seafood restaurant that might also have fresh seafood but at four times the price. What more could anyone want then perfectly fresh seafood, cooked wonderfully, on a location where you're sitting on the water outside at picnic tables. Update: Got to come back two years later. Other than an attitude from the girl at the window it was still incredible food at pretty good prices for fresh seafood in a perfect environment. Absolutely worth going to if you're around Crystal River.

The company I was with suggested Arby's, Peck's or even the concession stand at the beach but I decided to give this place a shot instead. Food was pretty good. I had a grilled mahi-mahi sandwich that came with fries and tartar sauce. The pulled pork with fries and coleslaw was decent. Not a bad view of the water. No table service. You get up and get it where you paid. The dispensers didn't work properly and the cashier at least knows about it now. Drinks including water are all bottled and I wasn't about to tack on another 6 dollars just for a couple water bottles. Someone happened to be sitting next to us offered us a couple water bottles which was a thoughtful gesture we appreciated. I doubt he worked there but he treated us better than those taking and preparing our order (which wasn't cheap). There was a small screened in seating area that didn't look inviting so we sat at a table outside. The birds will try to swipe your food and the flies are nasty. Someone mentioned a "do not feed the birds" sign but I didn't see it nor was I compelled to feed any of my mahi-mahi to those crows that will literally snatch food from your table. At least now I can say I've tried it and tell others what to expect. Also I've read some of the owner's defensive and condescending responses to past negative reviews including those of reviewers with similar negative experiences and that certainly doesn't give me a better impression of...

Holy cow!! I'm not sure what has happened, as I have ate here on several occasions with zero issues. Waitress took our drink order and I asked her to give us a few minutes to look over the menu.

Seriously, less than 5 minutes later, we stacked the menus by the edge of the table, made eye contact with our waitress...who the proceeded to sit down at a different table with yet another waitress to talk for a while. THEN... they both disappeared to the back kitchen area for a while. I looked around thinking they must be retrieving someone's order...except there were only 3 other couples there...and they were all eating! I can see them through the small kitchen window talking so, my wife called the front desk number to let them know we are still here and ready to order.

My wife and I sat there dumbfounded that with 3 waitstaff, they still were not in any hurry or concerned that we'd been waiting. I'd had enough and just asked one of the waitresses to ring up my wife's soda. And we'll be on our way....which they did...lmao...terrible service and they wouldnt even comp a soda that hadn't even been drank out of!?!?

I not sure if it's a morning waitstaff thing...as I usually go here later in the day...but, whatever is going on had better get back to decent customer service or, I'll go somewhere else like I did today.."the woodfired pizza place in Dunnellen is awesome" check out my review of...
