Read the Tripadvisor and Google reviews on Taverna Manos to get a sense of the owners mentality. See for yourself his combative and argumentative demeanor. Because of Tripadvisors award for Top 10% worldwide restaurant ,we had high hopes that this was the place to bring our family for a celebration, but WOW what an utter failure. An experience that left us at a loss for words. Aggressive owner is out of control, here are a few examples of the owners prior responses to other customer concerns, in his own words.....

"Don't give my restaurant one star because YOUR demands went unfulfilled. We all work extremely long, arduous hours to make this work. You weren't satisfied when you walked through the door! You want to work in medicine? You want to write? TRUTH is I have been a medical writer for 35 years Big tip: Use integrity when you write something - even a review. Empathy, sympathy, insightfulness, walk in someone else's shoes first & be kind - all the things that make us human beings! Things are not always what YOU see, feel or think.

Response from the owner 4 weeks ago "Kyle you said the F word so many times we lost count! The owner asked you repeatedly to STOP SAYING THAT in front of his staff. BTW if you ever come here again, we WILL call the police to have you removed. Oh and Hey, btw...It's really "awesome" how you tattooed your birthday in huge block letters on your neck like that - bet it makes it a lot easier for you to remember it now,"

My final comments are... 35 years as a medical writer but zero years and a day in the culinary arts or hospitality management. What ever happened to try us again and I am sure we will win you business, not here. Just thought you should be aware, stay safe and enjoy true hospitality, it's out there but surely not here! Finally, I feel Tripadvisor should remove this establishment for any recommendation list except for the one to stay far away from for your next...

Usually I rate on both food and service, but I didn’t even get to eat before I knew this was a 1-star restaurant. When I pulled up to the place, it looked cozy from the outside. I hadn’t heard anything about it before, I just enjoy Greek food and happened to find Taverna Manos. Outside the menu is posted and I read it and it all sounded so good so I had to go in. That’s where it all went south. The waitress, who I at first thought was just another customer because of her sitting at a booth, looked up and pointed at the table directly next to the door and said “you can sit there.” Okay, that’s fine. My boyfriend and I sat down and she came by take get our drink orders and brought them back all within standard time. I wish I could give you her name, but she never introduced herself. This is where it all starts to go downhill. She is talking on the phone with who she claims to be her boss about something and comes back to my table, still on the phone, drops a piece of torn paper and a pen on the table and mouths “just write down what you want.” Okay. I was gonna give it to her, but my boyfriend thought otherwise. About 15 minutes after we both even walked in, another group of women walk in and want a takeout order. The waitress takes their entire order and goes back to the kitchen to send it in, still hasn’t taken my order or even come back for the paper yet. I guess she was on the phone about how the boss wanted to charge these ladies extra for the boxes so they decided to sit down. The waitress comes out and they tell her they’ll just eat in and she says, “Okay, he’s making it in the back so I’ll just go tell him to make it for here.” That was it for me but my boyfriend wanted to stay longer so I let it be. She came back out of the kitchen and said “Um we only have enough tzatziki sauce for one of your salads.” You could hear a pin drop. How do you run out of the one sauce every menu item has?? After dropping that bomb, she then proceeded to apologize and vent about how horrible her day was. We left when the waitress left the room. I can only imagine how long it took for her to realize we were actually gone. Never came back for the paper, no straws, no introduction. It was a wreck which is such a shame because all that food...

I have never written a review before and wouldn't be writing this if I wasn't so disturbed about a wonderful restaurant possibly failing because of deplorable service.. The night I visited this Charming restaurant I had the rudest poorest service of my entire life. I would forget this if the food hadn't been so superb! I it was one of the best Greek restaurants I have ever experienced hands down. I'm talking about the food now.

There are two waitresses . One was sweet and perfectly nice.. very hospitable. The woman with the disgusting tongue ring is the waitress that I am writing about. She was rude hostile arrogant belligerent and condescending. She succeeded in ruining the meal for me and other frustrated and dissatisfied customers. All of us agreed the food was amazing. I was shocked that this controlling and angry millennial was working in such a high class fine dining establishment. Her only goal was to get rid of us so she could go back to her own agendas and to smoking her cigarettes. She had zero interest in serving her customers. She was only focused on getting the hell out of there as fast as possible. What a way to ruin a perfect meal with some of the best food I've ever had. I sincerely hope that this will not ruin this chefs' fine business of cooking superb food.. she is a spoiled brat who is sabotaging a superb restaurant.. Not one table felt they enjoyed the food to its full extent.

I sincerelyhope thi's woman can learn how to respect other people and her job in order to succeed in life. I won't be at that restaurant again if she's my server I will be finding out when her...
