Masa's Cafeteria — Restaurant in Honolulu

Recommend by a friend...Wednesday special is a fresh corned beef with cabbage. Although I forgot to take a photo of the plate, I was impressed. The plate had two scoops of rice, mac salad, and a hefty portion of corned beef and cabbage. Cabbage was soft with butter mixed in. The corned beef was pretty soft, fat was rendered down and moist overall. I highly recommend. Small suggestion to the restaurant, cut against the grain of the meat will allow it to be more tender and easy to chew.

My coworker mentioned the andagi and pork cutlet was a bit dry.

Service was friendly and was helpful.

The atmosphere was good, very standard local drive inn like place. Nothing special.

The service is something that could use some fixing. The people are friendly and nice just that they either are not aware of you standing in line waiting to order or they just don't care, they seem more bend on making their toast with butter. I guess the owners emphasize that the workers never run out of toast because there's at least 3 workers in the front with their backs to the customers making a ton of toast....its the weirdest thing ever. The food is good the prices a bit high but the portions are pretty good sized. If only the service had a but more urgency the there could be an added star from me. If the taste was better...

Masa's is great always good fast service and great food huge portions at great prices makes this hole-in-the-wall joints one of the best options in town. They known for their cafeteria style food. I like their baked spaghetti and roast pork plate. Reasonable prices that is cheaper and better than L&L. Each day has a different special and main course from Monday-Fridays. The food was on point! Roast pork tender and roast beef as well. Gravy was good with enough seasoning and not too salty and a good base. Good hole-in-the-wall option around...
