Surf Camp Coffee Niu Valley — Restaurant in Honolulu

Stop supporting businesses run by influencers. I get extremely low blood sugar and had seizures growing up. A lot of times my sugar gets slow and I just need to stop in for something quick. Today I was asked to leave by the ladies running the place very respectfully, Without any explanation…. You will spend money here and get treated like high school drama. I’m giving this place two stars because the women who run the establishment are very clean and friendly. They deserve the business that comes in… but the manager is rude And racist. There are a few men who come in regularly who are just kind of disrespectful to a young athlete and graduate from the University of Toronto. I’ve gone out of my way to support this local business spending A lot of ‘lunch money’ here, because the women running it have always been super friendly. I have a service animal and the manager made me feel really uncomfortable about Having a service dog. I always tip and keep it really respectful. I came to a coffee shop to support local community and be a part of something. I don’t have enough followers on Instagram, Olympic gold medals, Or the right skin colour. I go out of my way to practice, aloha and kindness, but met with pushy men. People who judge me for my appearance and make me feel uncomfortable. I’ve never had an issue in this coffee shop ever in my life. The lady here just asked me to leave and said they wouldn’t serve me ever again. Thought I would give this place a second try… now I can say with 100% confidence that this might be the worse coffee shop on the island. The service is poor. They give off mean girl energy, get your order wrong, and forget about you unless you stand right at the counter for your food/drinks. The food is okay, but expensive for what you get. The coffee is one of the worst I’ve had on Oahu. They are out of half their menu items so don’t come in with your heart set on buying anything specific on the menu. Cute store decor and company name… needs a new staff...

I love that there is a small cafe in the neighborhood. I much much prefer to spend my money at small businesses than large chain cafes. I like the atmosphere, it’s small but bright and my Vanilla Latte was nice. I appreciate that it’s served in a cup rather than a to-go paper cup if it’s an eat-in. I just wish that there were cafes that stay open till later in the day because I like getting out of the home to chill and read a book at night, but I understand that’s difficult to do. I’ll...
