George's Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Hopewell Township

I ordered French toast. I wanted some banana slice's on it they did not have banana.they had strawberry. So I ordered that. I got my food and as soon as I seen it I was disappointed. There was way way way too many strawberries plus alot of juice from the fruit. My French toast was cold and soaked. Swimming in the juice.Common sense goes a long way with food and presentation. Hmmm let me put this big pile of cold juicy fruit on what is suppose to be hot French toast. Couldn't even melt the soft butter and I believe the syrup that was kept at room temp was warmer than my French toast. The waitress asked how the meal was I told her ,more is not always better my food was cold and soaked. She said yeah ok. Shortly after I witnessed another waitress whom was working taking orders and serving customers after she wiped the back of her hand all over her nose ,I'm talking like a 5 second count kind of wipe. How gross. I won't be going back there. This type of crap happens every place you go,why why do I try. Stay at home cook your own food people there is...

On the day that I attended, everyone working at George's seemed to be suffering from am overall aura of confusion.

I sat myself and my group down at an empty table, where after waiting several minutes, I was served by one of the staff members, and then again by a different staff member a few minutes later.

After waiting roughly an hour for my food, (during which one of the staff took my drink even though I both didn't ask them to, and it wasn't close to empty, and presumably filled it with diet coke based off what they said to me while walking by.) I received my cheeseburger with fries. While they did take the lettuce off as requested, they forgot to remove the tomatoes as well, and the onions they left on tasted like paper. Our first visit since 2016. We found a table and immediately a server came over. We ordered the hot roast beef sandwich and the Greek omelette. The hot roast beef sandwich was 5 star excellent. The Greek omelette was slightly overcooked - 4 star great. Coffee and tea were both excellent. We will be back to try more.

Recently I tried the Ruben, it had excellent flavor but lacked enough meat for my taste. I was told it could be ordered with double meat. So Yesterday I ordered it with double meat - it was excellent. We also tried the chicken Parm spaghetti and the chicken sandwich. Both were good. We will continue trying food here as the prices are...
