Our single place to hang out on a rainy day....Great burgers, great prices on nightly specials... and just the greatest locals you ever met.. We've been in there (loudly, to say the least..) and ended up befriending some of the local elders... Just love the local people that come in... All the staff members are just great, hard working people, in the greatest little 'hole in the wall' area... We actually live in the Vancouver, Wa area. We visit Grayland as much as we can (trying to save for a lil' piece of property there..;) And even when we haven't been there in a year - the next time we visit - it's like we were just there yesterday...
Simple rule to remember; It's "Christopher" not "Chris"...... you'll figure out what i mean when you go in for steak night.. ;)
Our Love to the Local Bar and Grill - and it's patrons. Thanks for making our 'hide-away' town the greatest place for us to disconnect from the technical world... ;)
Btw, this is a small seasonal town -help keep it up and running; Tip, Tip, Tip your servers, bartenders..etc...
Since we get a little loud when we're there, we pay for the closest table(s) food to share in our own happiness.
Last time we were there -Aug 2016 for our 20th anv. with family, we ended up meeting this older couple that lived in the area. The woman was one of the people that worked on the Alaska pipeline in your youth. What a great story, and great people to spend our 20th with... (yeah, paid for their dinner) Because we were goofy loud, and they were lovingly tolerant, fun, friendly...and made me laugh so hard.. just loved that couple. Wish i could remember their names...
So, check out the Local Bar. Tell the staff that Chris and Kim say Hi! and we'll see...
Read moreTourists please be advised! Most locals don't really like you. You trash our beaches! You drive 10mph under the speed limit. My goodness you complain!!! Most of you are entitled city folks. This is a small town, with small towns things... Where things just move a bit slower. Isn't that why you come here? To get away?! We have strong family values and we support our local businesses. Everyone knows everyone and everything about each other.. Be nice to us locals we can make your stay miserable or enjoyable depending on how you treat us.. I remember when the local sold bright green sweater that said "if it tourist season why can't we shot them?" You come here for vacation and then disrespect us in our community. Also pertaining to Waitress never came back to check on us. It is a bar! You yell barkeep. Or go to the bar to order.
The local bar is GREAT place to get food. Out of all the bars between Grayland and Westport. The local is superior. Staff are amazing they are almost always understaffed but still manage to give you excellent service. I recommend the local burger or chicken. I am old enough to go in but I still order at the window like I did when I was Jr high and high school.
Notice: no one at the Local knows I wrote this. I gathered all the info from watching tourists coming in and acting entitled and reading the reviews. My views and opinions don't...
