This place was so disgusting inside, that I have no idea why this place has good reviews. There’s no way it would pass a health inspection. It makes me wonder if they bought their reviews. Would definitely never go back. If you want the long story with specifics, keep reading!
We drove to Inks Lake and really wanted pizza after a long hike. Angel’s had such positive ratings on Google that I seconded guessed my gut reaction to run when I saw that it was in a trashy neighborhood and the restaurant was actually operating in a run down TRAILER. Picture a blue trailer from the 90’s with old cigarettes in the ash trays by the front entrance with a big ole’ grease bin on the side of the building and trash thrown all over the back. Oh yeah! And there were CATS running around it. Why didn’t we run? We should have! In the moment of doubt, I read a sign on the door that said “the locals love us!” Looking back, I wish we could have gotten gas station pizza! Yes! Gas station pizza that at least I knew the kitchen passed a health inspection.
Going Inside, there were human-made like “nests” in all of the booths. Toys and weird junk in every booth that clearly NO ONE would ever sit in to eat a meal. Clearly it had been there for a long time. Why didn’t we get out?!
The kitchen looked exactly like you’d expect a trailer kitchen to look like. It probably had the same stove and fridge it came with. There was junk all over the kitchen. Not even clean. Not to mention, we got two medium sized pizzas for $40!!! That is crazy. It wasn’t even that great. The crust was so floppy everything fell off when you picked it up. Maybe you like that kind of pizza, but even still, $20 for a medium pizza is crazy. The menu even said they were $12.95 or something like that. We were clearly tired and maybe delusional after the sun we hiked in all afternoon.
My poor friend had the unfortunate experience of using their bathroom. She, having been to third world countries before, said it was the most disgusting bathroom she’d ever used.
If I could give a 0 Star I would. I truly didn’t want to leave this review, but after thinking about it for several days, I had to. People need to know how absolutely disgusting...
Read moreMaybe we had an off night and Friday night isnt a good night to order? The pizza was mediocre at best, I prefer dominos or pizza hut over the quality we received. Not only was the pizza not the best, my wife got told to "get back in her car..." after not being able call them because the line was busy. They were sitting outside to pick up the food for a while. We didn't get our cheese burger that was ordered, again no answer when calling to tell them to get refund after the fact. There appeared to be only one person working, which could also have led to the problems.
The pizza-all were cold (due to waiting for a while) and super doughy, all you taste is spongy dough. The toppings tasted as if they had been cut over a week ago and stored in refrigerator with no snap or crunch to the veggies. The cheese pizza was the best out of the 4 different Pizzas we ordered. The meat lovers was okay, again very doughy. The Philly cheese steak, couldn't taste the meat at all but it was nicely cut thin, but maybe too long ago? The veggie pizza, again very doughy and, as stated previously, the toppings tasted like they were cut a while ago.
Like I said, maybe an off night but I do hope the quality gets looked into...
Read moreI had decided to visit some family last week, we started to get hungry and they told me about this lovely place named Angel's and how great their pizza was. We decided to call, unsure we only ordered one pizza, ($48 was crazy for a 45min wait but maybe it was that good). More family showed up within 5 min. so we called to cancel in the case we had to change the whole order or food option. I understand there are ways to go about situations like this, but it all happened so quick. We decide to call back as our order is now larger, the lady on the phone was so rude to my son. She did not even let him finish saying the address when she said she would need the credit card over the phone because she already had someone cancel in that adress. Her tone was probably the worst ive ever heard when dealing with customer service, and she was so rude. As understanding as i tried to be i thought it was silly she was that upset when the original wait was 45min, i cancelled within 5min, no way you were already cooking that pizza. Overall very unproffesional and I would not recommend ordeing over the phone if you're not sure about the quantity...
