Tech visit revealed that I did not have the piece of equipment he was sent to connect. Did get system ready to connect when I had purchased the piece I needed; he was competent, professional and personable. There was some confusion about possibly going back to the office to procure the piece needed but said it would another service call charge, which was not acceptable to me. Called the office about this, left a message and did not get a return call until the next day. My equipment piece would have to have been ordered as you do not stock it, and the service call would have not been charged extra if it had been completed the same day.    Read moreOver the years, I have used several of the internet services available for the Kingsland area only to end up disappointed and irritated. This has not been the issue with HomeSmart. I have only had to contact them a couple times in the almost 2 years of having their service. Their customer service is exceptional. They have never overloaded equipment capabilities by putting on more clients than their equipment could handle as my other providers did. This results in my speed being continuously faster than my plan calls for. Outages are extremely rare compared to the 6 or more per month I had become accustomed to. HomeSmart and the Thompson family are definitely a huge plus for our community and I would and do recommend them...
   Read moreHomeSmart installed the security system and low-voltage wiring in our home when we built in 2017. The entire process was smooth and pleasant. We experienced our first security system fault this month (smoke detector failure, which set off the alarm), early in the morning on a weekend (of course!), and HomeSmart's 24-hour service tech guided me through disabling the system. I scheduled a service call for today, to resolve the issue and to give the system a thorough check-up. Two smoke detectors were bad, so we decided to have them all replaced.
