I must say this first: I am a frequent customer of Crazy Gal's. I usually have breakfast and every once in a while we do lunch and/or dinner. I have not been disappointed in service or food. The servers there are absolutely amazing. They are the ones that make the atmosphere what it is. Tonight though was a HUGE disappointment. Everything was going super well until we received our food. Everyone's food was top notch as usual minus one. It literally had hair on the meatloaf. All we asked the server is if they could just remake it. Let me say this, we received nothing for this. We paid FULL price for everything including a nice tip for our awesome server. We received absolutely NO discount on our ticket. Well the server was very professional. It was the manager that was the most unprofessional manager I have ever seen. He literally came out to our table with the hair plate and basically called us liars, stating, "The hair was not of anyone in his kitchen." Upon telling him it was not ours is when he called us liars. I have never at any restaurant experienced this type of unprofessionalism. Needless to say, as long as this individual is a manager at this location none of my friends, family, or myself will be returning. It makes me sad to say this as we absolutely love all the servers, but I will not take that type of unprofessionalism from anyone. He needs to be reprimanded; however, I know it will not happen. I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else.
Edit: Not once did we ask for a free meal. Also, I've NEVER had a free meal at this establishment. Never had a problem until this. This just goes to show the unprofessionalism. It was not the same color. In fact, the hair had a ting of gray. No one at my table had gray hair. You do know there is a middle man in your kitchen staff check before it comes to our table, right? His hair definitely isn't 7 inches, and it definitely isn't gray. Also, it wasn't five minutes after, it was literally as soon as the plate was sat down. A long time problem? Seriously? Never been a problem. Always brought a group of people in and always spent a lot of money. Never in my life...maybe YOU need to target someone else instead of making excuses for your lack of customer service. I, for one, am not targeting anyone, just stating facts that you don't like. In fact, most reviews I leave if I do any at...
Read moreI don't know what happened to this place. I used to eat lunch here fairly regularly until a job change. I was in the area today with my wife, so we stopped in for a late lunch. She had a burger and I had a fish sandwich. The sides (sweet potato fries and onion rings) were great. Her burger was okay, but the bun wasn't fresh. The bun on my sandwich was almost stale, and the fish was tasteless. The service was pretty good (not very crowded), but the waitress was a little boisterous. They didn't ask how everything thing was when I went to pay. Good thing. Very disappointing meal for two for nearly $50, including tax, tip and service charge for paying with credit card.
Follow-up a year later. The owner wrote a very nice and respectful reply to my previous review, so when I happened to be passing through Kingsland mid-morning a couple of weeks ago with some spare time and having not eaten yet, I stopped in for breakfast. It wasn't very busy, and I ordered standard fare: eggs, bacon and pancakes. The server was attentive enough, and the food was passable, although for the life of me, I don't know what they use as a butter substitute. The stuff was a nasty shade of yellow, and wouldn't melt on the pancakes, which I saved for last; it just sat there like a gelatinous glob. I scraped the stuff off and ate the pancakes dry. And then the bill came. $4.75 for a glass of milk! $21 for the meal, tax and tip for breakfast for 1; I paid cash to avoid the credit card fee, and okay, I left a bigger than usual tip because I know that waiting tables isn't easy work, and these ladies can use the money. So, Dear Owner, I gave it another try. I know that running a successful restaurant is hard work, so you much be doing something right for your target clientele. Maybe Crazy Gals just isn't my kind of place. I wish you...
Read moreI am very disappointed in the treatment my sister and I received while having breakfast this morning. We go in regularly for breakfast, have always sat at the same corner booth with absolutely no issues at all until today. It was late morning, 9:30ish; breakfast rush was over and we went to our usual table. We received our coffee, ordered our food and was asked to move just in case a large group came in.... There were several other larger tables setup for large groups, so we were surprised they asked us to move, especially as often as we are there and always sit in the same place. After moving, our waitress along with other waitresses started making comments that could be heard about us by the entire restaurant. They continued to make remarks the entire time we were there. We changed tables as requested with no problem at all. My sister's order was not correct, so it was sent back just to have more rude comments made within earshot of us and other patrons in the establishment. Our waitress came back by one time to drop off the check, we sat there with empty coffee cups for awhile, until they finished discussing who was coming to our table to refill our cups. NEVER EVER again will I eat at Crazy Gal's in Kingsland. As previously stated, my sister and I frequent this restaurant regularly and we're treated like we had done...
