Whitewater 360 Sports Club — Restaurant in Horseshoe Bay

While vsiting for a conference, I ordered the caprese salad and a Vieux Carré cocktail for dinner. The bartender looked at me, clearly didn't know the drink. Fair. I ordered something simple. The caprese salad came out quickly. Decent, thick slabs of mozzarella, but way too much balsamic reduction sauce; small, thin tomato slices; and just an embarrassing showing of basil -- a few tiny, limp leaves. Worst caprese I've ever had. The only saving grace was the generous portion of "everything bread," which appeared to be made from their pizza dough. The bread was delicious. The bread. Not so much so the salad. The next evening, while visiting with coworkers, I ordered the $20 chips, salsa, and guacamole. It came with 3 small jars -- one with very mild and otherwise unremarkable salsa, one with cheese dio, and one with fresh guacamole. The jars were narrow with horizontal sides, making dipping difficult. I had to break up every chip to fit for a decent dip. The guacamole was coarsely blended, which I actually prefer to heavily creamed. The atmosphere was, however, awesome. The round layout was spiffy. It seems that the restaurant is consistently under staffed because it's unacceptable to expect to have the bar tenders to wait as well during peak dinning hours and expect to run an efficient establishment. So the wait time to order, receive refreshment on drinks, and paying the bill is painful. Bring your reading materials because your going to need it.

This has been my experience countless of times, not a one time thing. During the summer, fall, winter and spring.

Update: had to help ourselves in order to be served. Probably will not be coming back. This resort has gone down hill. Should have the meal covered by them for the time wasted sitting around waiting to be helped. So if the resort wants to make it up for the painful 2 hour wait feel free...

We had an amazing time at 360 Sports Club at Whitewater in Horseshoe Bay Resort! The gluten-free pizza was delicious, and Troy, our bartender, made the whole experience unforgettable. He provided excellent service, kept us laughing the entire time, and made sure everything was to our liking. His attention to detail and fun personality really elevated our visit.
