I booked an entire day of treatments as a special day to relax alone. The atmosphere and ambiance of the spa was great. Comfy robes, relaxing waiting room. Yummy snacks and drinks. The downside was the actual services. I booked a seasonal facial, prenatal massage, and pedicure. They were all super basic. I know it probably has a lot to do with the therapists you get. But mine seemed very inexperienced, not what would have expected from a luxury spa. Nobody discussed my concerns with me or asked me throughout the treatment how it felt. Facial I could've done at home, my massage felt like an hour of someone just lightly rubbing lotion on, the pedicure was fine but I've gotten much better ones at little walk-in nail salons in my neighborhood. I think they need to invest in training for the therapists to raise the level of expertise. Stephen was the massage therapist and not only did he do a great job, but when I told him about my herniated disc, he also made sure to show me which stretches to do after and made sure I knew which muscles needed the most work so I could have someone help me back home. I'm literally thinking of reasons to come to this area more simply to start massage therapy for my back by Stephen.
