Burns Burger Shack — Restaurant in Houston

Heard a lot about this place. Finally went there. The line was long so I figured the food was great. I stood in the long line hoping the would be delicious as I hear the cashier broadcasting the number over the intercom of the next order ready to go. Finally my son and I get to the cashier. After telling her what I wanted she informed me that they only had ribs and chicken links left. Highly disappointed I exited the building. So as Im walking next door to the burger side, Im thinking why didnt she just announce over the intercom that they were out of brisket? Then we wouldnt have waited in the long line for nothing. Very disappointed. The burgers we ordered were too salty, the fries were too salty and my burger wasnt what I ordered. 3 stars because I was starving so it was tasteful. First let me say * Burns is not CASHLESS thank you Burns.. ok now let me continue. I went to the burger shack because the line at the BBQ and I was in a rush to get to work. I'm glad I did. The guy who took my order explained all items thoroughly ✔️ 👍. I ordered the classic burger with cheese and sweet potatoe fries on the side 😋. The sweet potato fries were seasoned with a tad of sea salt and not dry. These are some of the best sweet potatoes fries that I have had. They are not dried out nor too soft. The burger was like $11 and the patty was well done and juicy not dry . The brioche bun was a buttery taste and slightly toasted. I was there for less than 10min in and out the way I like it no long waits nor long lines on a Saturday. The burger shack has a variety of burgers to choose from including a turkey burger. I have been going to Burns Barbeque for over thirty years, and have always been pleased in the taste. However, lately I have been very disappointed in the quality and taste of the barbeque. The meat is tough and you can taste that no seasoning is used , not even basic salt and pepper. I had been getting sandwiches from the site in Summerwood, and it is just as bad. I asked today why the meat had no seasoning on it, and I was told that "senior" citizens don't like the seasoning, which is not true, at all. I hope that these Burns Barbeque Sites will go back to using the original recipe, or they might not survive in the next few years. I had to bring my food home and bake it for an hour and the meat was still tough. The sauce was the only saving grace.
