The food and friendly service at this little off-the-beaten path sandwich place in Humble, TX outshines the atmosphere by far! Even though it's inside a pretty shabby gas station off Hwy. 59 and Sorters-McClellan Rd. and parking is awkward, it is most definitely worth a visit. I always get a hot Turkey, Ham, Bacon, Provolone focaccia and it is delicious! It is a BIG sandwich, filled with lots of meat and toppings of your choice (including sliced green olives, which I love!) The fresh focaccia bread is the best I've ever had, and it is definitely the star of the sandwich. (The owner was nice enough to explain the benefits of focaccia bread when we first visited.) I'm looking forward to trying the sweetheart focaccia, and truly want the friendly, accommodating owner to find success with his bakery. He has mastered the art of providing a fabulous meal with a side of kindness, and I will continue to be a customer at this location (while hoping he can soon find a location more conducive for...
Read moreEvery review about this place is true and real. I wish I could give 100/5 stars. Immediately created by a warm and happy tone and met with a sample of focaccia after mentioning it was our first there. I ordered the club, and after receiving my food, I showed interest in the loaves behind him (reading they are so worth getting). To my surprise, he took a to-go box and handed me a loaf. For free. I wanted to cry, because earlier that day, unbeknownst to him, I had just gotten in a car accident. My day was suddenly made so much brighter and better thanks to the kindness of this small, family owned shop. I will always stop at family owned places before chains when traveling, and I have so much respect for people who work to share their recipes, foods, and traditions with the world. This is now a forever-stop when passing through Kingwood. The sandwich was amazing, by the way. First thing I had eaten since the accident, and it made me happy for the...
Read moreAs of writing, THE Focaccia Bakery just opened a few days ago. Went to try 1/24. At 4 pm only 1 customer was ahead of me and I paid and got my food in about 5 minutes didn’t have to wait long at all. Tried the Hot Turkey Ham Bacon & Provolone with Lettuce, Olive Oil, Salt, Oregano, and Mayo. Absolutely delicious and the quality of the bread does not disappoint. Wide variety of hot and cold sandwiches & Buñuelos as a dessert. If you want just the bread you can get that too in 3 different forms: regular with sea salt and olive oil, fig & cheese, or tomato. Also have homemade marinara sauce spicy or traditional which I will need to try next time. Strongly recommend to come out and try this new local business. We have more than enough 50 or so chain sandwich shops already in the area, having something different and original a great bonus. Can’t wait to go back and try more things...
