Dirko's Pizza of Howard — Restaurant in Howard Township

First off, every time you call in the person that answers the phone is very rude, they just say "please hold" and hit the button without ever introducing the company or themselves, or asking if it's okay to place you on hold. The last time we orderd they made our strombolli wrong and then they told us we had to pay for a new one because we had already taken a bite or two from the first one. Then it took almost another hour to receive the corrected food. We decided to give then another try and this time I was again very abruptly put on hold, and then even though I stated my specific order for my sub twice and it was read back to me correctly, it still showed up wrong and inedible. When I called to get this corrected I again was very rudly put on hold, once I was able to speak to someone she argued with me and told me that what they sent was correct because the girl that took my order wrote it down wrong, then she rudly put me on hold mid sentence and someone else picked up, she also argued with me and told me that they did not mess up my order because what I got matched what was on their ticket. When I told her what was on their ticket did not match what I asked for I was rudly put on hold AGAIN and a "manager" answered the phone and tried to tell me that all she could do is give me a $2.00 credit back for the food that was over $7.00. Then when I asked that the food be remade so that I can eat the dinner that I had already paid for she sighs and says "ya we can but it will be over an hour before we can get it to you". One word, Stromboli!!! When I first moved to this town I was told I HAD to try their stromboli. I was at a friend's house and he order it for us. I couldn't believe how good it was. The original "toppings", if you can call them that since they are inside instead of on top like a pizza, are pepperoni and sausage, my favorite toppings anyway. They do allow you to change the toppings, which is nice for others who don't enjoy only meat or meat in general. They have an amazing sauce, their crust is perfection, and the sausage is tiny crumbles (my favorite). I joke about moving here only for this meal. However, do try other items. Their lasagna is really good as well and a fair amount of foods for the price. I do have to admit the pizza isn't as good as the stromboli, which sounds weird since I'm sure it's all the same ingredients. Don't get me wrong, the pizza is good, but there is something about the stromboli that makes it better, I think they put just a little more love in making it. And we all know when food is cooked with love it's definitely better. Anyway, I hope you enjoy, I know I do! I ordered The two extra large pizzas with one topping special. As I was telling the young man that I wanted pepperoni, he interrupted and ask what toppings did I want. I told him that I wanted pepperoni. About 40 minutes later my pizza was delivered and it was two cheese pizzas. My 10 year-old granddaughter had been waiting and was hungry and took a piece. I called Dirkos explained to them that they did not put the pepperoni on and they ask if I wanted a refund or if I wanted new pizzas made. I said that I would take two new pizzas. They advised me since my granddaughter took a piece of one of the cheese pizzas that I would only be able to get a replacement of one. It was not my mistake.
