Chapter House — Restaurant in Howell Township

Absolutely the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had. First off, I called ahead of time to ask how many wings come in a single order, which they should have told me for both bone-in and boneless, but they only told me for bone-in, not clarifying anything. I call them back to place the order for 3 single orders of boneless wings and a side of seasoned fries. They told me 20 minutes. I show up and the bartender tells me that I didn’t clarify how many wings I wanted… I was a bit confused because they told me 8 wings per order over the phone. She said that there are only 4 boneless wings per order… so I then had to order double because four wings for dinner is not a enough. Never apologized for telling the wrong information and instead blamed it on me. Bill comes to $92.16 for 24 BONELESS WINGS AND A SIDE OF FRIES!... Get home to eat and the “boneless wings” aren’t even edible. Extremely tough and dried out completely. The fries were not seasoned and were instead soggy as all hell… They gave a container full of blue cheese dressing and celery, which was kind, until you bit a piece of celery and you realized it was old… extremely disgusted with the Chapter House in Howell, NJ and you should be ashamed of charging someone $26.98 for 8 boneless wings! I think giving this place a one star review is generous of me. I will never come back to this location nor tell anyone to come...

Have been going to this place on and off for many years. In the past, it was a friendly, local place....pretty good food and a pleasant bar and wait staff. It had changed in the last few years, but I keep trying in case the place returned to its original form. Tonight, by far, was the worst, and therefor likely the last, time and meal. Waitress was unfriendly, burger ordered rare came out lukewarm, well done and on a very stale bun...clearly a leftover in the kitchen, dressed up for my order. A suitable, if not delicious, replacement was made...no complaint there. But, really!!! Not as much as an apology from management, in person or by way of a free coffee? Waitress acknowledged burger was sitting there, no doubt, and management was told!! No way to keep...
