I was disappointed with a recent visit to this restaurant. First let me say that I am a waitress, too-so I get it. It was my first time there. Our server Heidi was less than personable. A child of mine dropped a napkin and fork under the table half way through the meal and Heidi seemed annoyed and came over to pick it up (under my table under my foot)-that was just weird. I paid w my cc and forgot to tell her about the text coupon for $5 so when I did, she informed me that she couldn't void the transaction and I could use it at my next visit, "but oh, by the way, that has to be within the next 5 days". After I paid, she immediately cleared the table and grabbed her cash tip while we were still sitting there. I thought that was really rude. The restaurant had no wait, we were maybe one of 3 tables she had. No reason for her to do that. At that point I was annoyed, so I went over and asked her to find a way to refund the $5 coupon she should have done for me in the first place(Although I didn't say ll that-I was nice about it). She says she spoke to her manager who then told her just to give me $5 in cash since they had no way to void and re-ring the transaction. Really? I mean, really? Needless to say, not only did I have no desire to be back within 5 days to use my coupon, I have no desire to ever go back again. The food was second best to Subway. Lame customer service. If you're going to put a $5 text coupon on the tables, I would think you're prepared to allow the customer to use it-even if it takes a cc adjustment. And Heidi just seemed burnt out and utterly annoyed...
Read more5 Stars – A Masterclass in Hospitality: Hanna’s Commanding Excellence at Mulligans Bar & Grill
In an industry where true service excellence is increasingly rare, encountering someone like Hanna at Mulligans Bar & Grill is not merely a pleasure—it is a revelation. From the very first interaction, it became unequivocally clear that Hanna is not only a consummate professional, but the operational heartbeat of the establishment itself.
Her mastery of the floor is nothing short of extraordinary. Hanna doesn’t serve tables; she curates experiences. With an almost preternatural sense for timing, guest preferences, and situational awareness, she balances grace and authority with seamless precision. Every element of our visit—from the pace of service to the quality of interaction—was flawlessly calibrated under her watch.
Hanna’s leadership is not only visible—it’s felt. The entire front-of-house staff moves in harmony under her unspoken direction, a testament to the profound respect she commands and the example she sets. She possesses that rare combination of elegance, discipline, and magnetism that elevates the entire operation. There is no doubt: Hanna runs Mulligans. Her presence is the gold standard by which all service should be measured.
If excellence had a face in the world of hospitality, it would be Hanna’s. She is, without exaggeration, the definitive reason to choose Mulligans Bar & Grill. This is not simply a review—it is a...
Read moreI've been coming to this restaurant since I was a kid and it's been my go to restaurant for the past 5 years. A little under a year ago, the place came under new ownership. Despite new ownership, the place still remained excellent and was still a go to place for me. The food remained basically unchanged with a few exciting additions and if anything the environment and service only got better as it seems they are hosting more special events that make the place more welcoming and community oriented.
However, it also appears that the new owners have done a big menu shake up. And I'm sad to see that a casualty of this was the awesome Cajun Chicken Sandwich they had. This was always my go to menu item. It looks like they're trying to focus on offering more specialty food and masterfully crafted sandwiches and dishes. That's never what this restaurant was and it didn't need to be. This doesn't necessarily mean the food is bad, I am sure it's good quality still, but this is incredibly disappointing to see and just feels unnecessary for so many menu items to be axed.
It's possible this brings in the crowd the new owners want, but I probably won't be coming back here in the future and expect I'm not the only one who's favorite item was taken...
