I'm a big reader and contributor of reviews, so I was skeptical of making the reservation. We kept our fingers crossed and made a reservation for Easter brunch, yesterday party of 4 at 11 AM. Hostess was friendly and prompt, sat us immediately. Waitress ( Tracy) came right to the table with champagne and orange juice. She wished us a Happy Easter, told us the buffet was open and we were free to go when we were ready. First of all, yes the room is dated... But ( remembering the history ) it's beautiful. The buffet was huge!!!! From breakfast to desserts plenty of choices, and 3 carving stations. ( Ham, pork loin, and Prime rib) All the food was hot, constantly being replenished, and delicious. The salad stations were beautifully displayed, and the Easter theme was tasteful and well appreciated. They had an Easter egg hunt for the children, and the Easter Bunny made an appearance. Overall it was a wonderful brunch. We're booking again for Mother's Day ! Great Job, to the chefs, waitresses, servers, and management! You've earned a 5...
Read moreIf I could put zero I would. I go to OpenTable through the website for the restaurant to reserve for Thanksgiving and I get an error message indicating they cannot take a reservation. So I immediately call the restaurant Sunday and was told the new restaurant manager would call me back, a fabulous guy the young lady who took my call mentioned. So, Tuesday I call again because the fabulous restaurant manager did not call me and Tuesday at 5:30 PM they are not open. So I immediately call the hotel and they told me to leave a message with the new restaurant manager. So, she put me through to his voice mail and was informed that it could take a couple days for a return call. So now I have been trying to make a reservation for 2 and 1/2 days. Now I am thinking, if I went there to eat, how long would it take for the food to come out of the kitchen? Holy moly! When I was 10 years old in 1961, I could let this slide. But in 2025, I must mark this up to...
Read moreCelebrated my birthday at Mission Inn's LA Hacienda restaurant. This is very convenient for us since we live in the adjacent community.
We both ordered from the Magical Dining menu, which offers an appertizer, menu item, and dessert for $40 with a portion going to charity. We both started with the coastal coconut shrimp. She had the shrimp and scallops skewer, and I had the chimichurri filet. We both had the key lime pie for dessert.
Everything was well timed. The shrimp appetizers were very good and the accompanied sauce sweet with a little kick. The main course was excellent. My wife gave me a bit of her scallop, and it was incredible with immense flavor. My filet was tender and flavorful.
Our server Melissa took very good care of us. Other than my filet being closer to medium well than medium, everything was cooked to perfection. Always a good time at La...
