The Pizza Den — Restaurant in Hoxie

We were a party of 5 on 2 separate checks. Given it was a Friday evening we there were plenty of open tables. It was a seat yourself situation. I left my drink order with my friends and went to the restroom. Drinks were delivered set the time I returned from the restroom. It only took us a few minutes to decide what we wanted to order. The waitress that took our order I do believe it was her first night he repeated our orders back to us they were correct. We then waited over an hour and a half for our food to come out. And half of our tablespoon was cold when it came out. I wasn't informed this until I was on my way home I live an hour and something away from the restaurant or I would have said something there. All thought of us were disappointed in everything we ordered. There were several different weight staff that stopped at the table so I'm not sure who our actual waitress was supposed to be. We waited 45 minutes on drink refills. There are 6 inch small pizza looks more like a 4-inch Frozen premade crust. For that matter their large crust tasted Frozen and pre-made as well. The sandwiches that were ordered were supposed to have lettuce and mayonnaise on them. There might have been 10 individual shreds of lettuce on the quarter of the ham sandwich (yes I'm exaggerating, it's called sarcasm). I have been a Pizza Den customer for many years. Today's experience was totally horrible. We arrived at six o'clock. The waitress took a while to take our order. That part is not horrible. In fact that is fairly typical as they never have adequate wait staff. After our order was taken it took an additional hour and fifteen minutes to get some of our food. It was cold. My wife never got her order as the waitress entered the baked chicken salad as a backed chicken spaghetti and after the mistake was pointed out they made no attempt to rectify the mistake. My wife ended up having to eat McDonald's for dinner. I Would give less stars but zero was not an option. I have been told that they place to go orders at a higher priority than dine in customers. They should place a higher priority on dine in guest. Needless to say we will not...

I do want to start with how super friendly everyone is, including the delivery drivers. Always feel I am a valued customer. But as much as I hate to complain, because I love the food when done as ordered, there are times like today that make you feel like your money was wasted. I guess it all depends on who makes your order. Last night was perfect and made us want more so we ordered again. This is not the first time that our pizzas are this way. We order extra sauce each time and it is hit or miss. Pizza today like many times before had hardly any sauce and was dry (so no extra obviously). Toppings can be minimal too. Once, ordered a pineapple and pepperoni and literally got 1 piece of pineapple on whole pizza. Today, just a few pepperoni. Why give extra sauce as an option if you aren't going to add it?
