Wendy's — Restaurant in Huber Heights

This is one of the newly remodeled Wendy's in the area (within the last few years). The outside is very attractive with a more modern look. Inside it is also more modern, but very inviting with neutral colors. There is a faux chimney style column in the restaurant, but instead of a fireplace, it is used as the backdrop for a large flat screen television. The booths and chairs are relatively comfortable and well arranged in the space. What struck me the most was that despite the updates, it wasn't terribly clean. The main counter with the cash registers is an attractive counter, but it had a hazy, greasy appearance, as if it hadn't been truly cleaned for a while. Behind the counter, there was trash on the floor and the areas around the chili warmer were splattered. The areas in the kitchen that could be seen from the front weren't terribly clean overall. Bathrooms weren't very clean either. It wasn't busy at all while we were there (perhaps two other couples while we were there) and yet, no cleaning was happening behind the counter or in the restaurant (seating) area. Service was ok...the gal behind the counter was nice enough, but not terribly friendly or outgoing and it was difficult to understand her as she mumbled. Would we return? Perhaps...but we wouldn't go out of our way to do so like we did that night. Our local Wendy's is under construction (they leveled it and are rebuilding) so we tried this location. Waited about 5 minutes at the order screen. Someone almost inaudibly told me they’d be back to take my order. The asked me to repeat my Grilled Chicken Avocado BLT sandwich order about 4 times. I finally just say a number 12 just the sandwich. Continue my order with a Sour Cream and Chives Baked Potato. I hear my order taker yell through the store asking if they have potatoes. I get no clear answer so I continue with my order. Paying at the window, no one’s wearing their masks properly, most of the people aren’t in uniform and from the looks of it they’re just leaving this window wide open even between orders and when walking away. Someone comes back and says they’re taking my potato off the order because the one the cut into is “too brown”. I ask if I can just get a fry instead which they do. I get all the way home to find my sandwich has NO GRILLED CHICKEN ON IT. Work nearby but don’t stop by much because of how long they take. Decided to give it a try and regret it. Thanks to Ryan for offering a replacement meal but don’t know if I’ll come back...

Ordered 2 small chilis and a side salad. I was the only one inside. Waited over 10-12 mins , then found out they had to chop lettuce to make my salad. I told her I didn't want to wait, and could I just get a baked potato instead? She tells cook that I want to change my order to a potato instead, and he tells her they don't have any. She wasn't happy about this b/c in the meantime, someone comes in after me and had also ordered a potato. Granted, she was very nice, and very apologetic. At this point, because I don't want to wait any longer, I ask her to swap it out for a bottle of water. I decide to "eat" the 50 cents difference, just to get out of there. My daughter was there 2 nights ago and they got her order incorrect as well. I was there another time, last week and it was REALLY SLOW, which I'm hearing from others is very common at...
