DoubleDave's Pizzaworks — Restaurant in Hudson Oaks

Not impressed. Going into their new location in Hudson Oaks, it seems like their employees weren’t exactly getting along and it was quite awkward from the customer perspective. When I arrived to pick up my order and spoke to the lady at the front, she initially brought the incorrect order to me. This wasn’t a big deal, it could have been a long day or maybe someone else with my name or a similar name had a pick up order as well. However when she went to get the correct order, you could hear a man yelling about which order was the correct one. I understand that there can be confrontation in the workplace, but it shouldn’t take place in front of customers like that. The pizza itself was unimpressive at best. It the pizza rolls and desserts were not microwaved, they would be unbelievable. Unfortunately, they have that microwave pull and toughness. Sure wish they were fresh. Update: After reading the owners remarks, I would have to say they have no idea what they are talking about. I had a rating of a 4 initially but have changed it to a 1. If the owner checked out my other reviews, he would see I have a lot of 5 star reviews. My first trip there I waited for an hour before they said they didn't have my online order even after showing my confirmation. I then had to wait another 30 minutes for my order after talking to a guy that had excuses out the $@#!!%. I had the peperoni rolls in College Station that were so much better that what they offer in Hudson Oaks. Our two previous visits were a positive experience. The staff was friendly, helpful, and the food was excellent. Tonight provided such a negative experience that we will not be returning. Upon arrival, we were informed our food was not ready, but would be out momentarily. After all items were paid for, we were told they were out of a product we ordered. They offered to take it off of the total price or make an alternate product in its place. In total, after our initial arrival time, we waited approximately 40 minutes.
