Roma Pizza Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Hudson

(This is bad) I use to love this place, I had not been in a while so wanted to go again. I called in for a take out the "Roma" Stromboli and gave them the 40 minutes they said it would take. I got there and paid then had to wait and wait. I think they made my food after I got there eventhough they did have my order. I saw below someone complaining about children running around in the front, this does not bother me, but it was the case again on 11/5/21. I'm not sure if this is the normal now or not. I finally got my food and it was okay, but not nearly as good as it use to be, then woke in the middle of the night (now about 3 AM Saturday morning) and feel as though I have food poisoning (felt like I should review poorly, sadly). Hope others are not sick from it tonight and hope it is an isolated thing. I never plan to go back. Update 24 hours later still upset stomach, hemoraging with the runs. I really think someone did something to this food. Haven't eaten anything else my appetite is gone... I guess it is an efficient although dangerous and painful way to lose weight. I probably should go to the emergency room 😕 not a happy camper. I am wondering if I should take the 1/3 leftovers to the health department or somewhere for testing or something. This has never happened to me like this so not sure. Ugh

Second update... I am 99 percent sure it was food poisoning from this place. I only leave reviews if I feel others should be aware of something... tmfor this person to respond that crazy response of maybe you should be checked for covid is absurd... diarrhea is not even a symptom of covid. Furthermore the kids I mentioned were actually family of the workers. Yes I realize it is a family restaurant wth? I only put that due to others complaining about it. Soooooo…. Romas has been a long time fav of our families! And just a short story to let you know how my journey and love began for this restaurant! So I am actually not from Caldwell County however I now live in Caldwell county because this is where my husband was raised but the first time my husband brought me here we were just sitting here minding our business and one of the employees that worked here it was her last day because she was bringing her beautiful cuddle of joy into the world the following day so she was saying her goodbyes to everyone and another employee maybe owner I’m not sure came up and said can everyone please gather together so we can pray over this girl( pregnant girl) not sure what her name was however everyone gathered around and she prayed with everyone over this girl for quite sometime. My purpose for this review is that in this ugly world today we need more people like her. It literally brought me to tears and gave me chills! Then I finally got my food and OH MY HEAVENS LET ME TELL YOU THE LAMB GYRO IS MOUTH WATERING! It is my favorite. My kids literally beg me to bring them here to eat all the time ! Also this restaurant is absolutely beautiful they have a 100 Sanitation score and our Waitress Joslyn maybe spelled wrong but anyway she is the absolute best! I'm saddened to have to change my review from a 5 star to a 2 star. The food is excellent!! It Never disappoints!! The reason I am changing my review is due to the service. They are nice, super nice. But the last 2 times we went there we had poor service. The one time was a friday night. Yes I get it, it was busy and there were a lot of tables. But the waitress kept forgetting everything and only come to our table twice. She forgot my appetizer, forgot my husband's side and was ignored the whole night until we were ready to leave. This last visit, it was a Saturday afternoon. Not busy at all, maybe 2 tables being occupied when we got there. The waitress got our drinks and appetizer order. Come back with the drinks and appetizer and took the rest of our order. She come back with my husband's food and my pasta but never brought my salad. We waited about 10 minutes for my salad but it never came. We had to ask a different waiter for my salad. While eating my salad, both of our drinks were empty. The one waiter walked by our table 5 times and never asked us if we needed anything. Our waitress never showed back up at our table since giving us the pasta. We both had to finish our food with no drinks. Then when we went to pay we saw our waitress sitting at one of the front tables playing on her phone.
