I will echo those who say it's well worth the price. Sure, it might be more expensive than other places that sell hard ice cream, but A) this is about as local of a company with locally sourced product as you can get. B) flavor and quality is through the roof. C) you will not get chinced on quantity. See my pic of my two-flavor cone. This is TWO SCOOPS. My wife got one scoop and it was nearly as big. Excellent variety of flavors and toppings, excellent staff and super fun community "play" area. First time visit. Will be repeat customers.

Great ice cream and options. A little different to pick from a menu vs windows into buckets of ice cream, but it was all good and such is ice cream during COVID. The yard games and swing out back were a nice touch. Some sort of water jug or place to wash ice cream off your hands would be nice - I don't think there's a bathroom ? Will be back again and very kid friendly!

AMAAAAZZINGGGG . A must stop if you're in the area. Kid friendly and can take some nice photos! There is a big chair in the front where you can take a nice photo as well. Service was so well, they let us sample the ice cream and gave us a lot of information and even gave recommendations. The area was nice, sitting area perfect.

Good selection but way too expensive! Go to Pizza Man in White Bear Lake, family business with hard ice cream and good prices. They actually give you too much ice cream. Booms could take note and if they are around next year maybe even learn from them. As of now this is a one time visit.

I want to update my post, I do not work for Pizza Man and I would love for a new local business to thrive but I cannot justify going back to Booms. The price to portion ratio is just too small even if it is a better ice cream (which it was). Every review I read after all said it was expense, the owner should listen to all the...

Found an awesome new ice cream shop tonight here in the north metro - Booms Ice Cream in Hugo. I believe it opened last year. Very fresh and creamy with a massive selection. Staffed by two very friendly and quick teen employees who filled our bowls and cups (malt) with huge scoops. Reminds me of the ice cream we had growing up in St Paul or at that place in Stillwater but without the drive or (at least until everyone else finds it) the lines. Tons of games for kids (or us) to play and a nice parking lot. It’s right off Hwy 61. We’ll be back - but have to act fast as the close in late September. So...
