I just had my wedding at LOCAL 02045. I cannot put enough emphasis on how perfect everything was. I'm going to breakdown my whole experience below.
Lisa Powers, who helped us iron out every single detail, was a joy to work with. She was communicative and direct throughout the whole planning process. The first time we met her she said, "this is not your traditional wedding venue."
If you are looking for an extravagant wedding at traditional venue, I would go elsewhere. We had 85 people and the room was the perfect size. The ceremony took place on the balcony which had AMAZING views. The balcony can only seat 40 people (the rest were standing), but our ceremony was less than 8 minutes, so that was actually ideal.
After the ceremony my wife Rachael and I were escorted to a lounge area where we were able to have a couple minutes to ourselves. Within minutes, a server was at our side taking our drink orders and providing us with a spread of passed apps. These appetizers were delectable. We had shrimp cocktail, bacon wrapped scallops, mini steak and cheese eggrolls, and mini bruschetta bites. We felt truly catered for.
After about 30-40 minutes, we were escorted back upstairs where we then had our first dance. Before dinner came out, we had ample time to mingle and greet all of our guests.
By 6:45PM, dinner service was under way. The food was perfect. EVERY meal at EVERY table came out in a timely manner and it all came out HOT. We offered steak, fish, or chicken and we only heard positive things about all three. People were raving to us about the quality of their meals. After that, we were able to enjoy our night dancing and spending quality time with our family and friends.
There is so much more I could say, but I don't want this review to go on for too long. The atmosphere was perfect. The food was incredible. Every single person on their staff went absolutely above and beyond to make sure all of our needs were met. The LOCAL played a key role in making sure our night...
Read moreWe used to love the place but i think they changed management/chef (menus bigger now). We sat for 10 minutes without waters. Then we ordered soda water w splash cran and was charged $6 for “cranberry juice”. fish taco app took 30 minutes AT LEAST. Our waitress hardly checked in and was nowhere to be found the whole time. Our entrees came out 10 minutes after app. The captains broil had sad presentation and small portions for a whopping $35. The lobster mac n cheese had bacon in it that seemed and tasted microwaved. I found hair in it after a couple bites. After 5 minutes of just trying to find someone, management had a new one made to go and it suspiciously came out in less than 10 minutes. They apologized a lot but that was as far as they stretched themselves. They didn’t take anything off the bill or offer free dessert- the usual good customer service things. We did get offered a “$15 come-back card”, which we quickly denied. Management then asked how everything else was and when we replied honestly about the frustrating wait time all they said was they weren’t expecting to be busy. We said the other food wasn’t great either and they still only apologized. I’m in food service and I understand it wasn’t their fault about the food, but it is about the bad service. Won’t be going back, really disappointing considering how good it used to be. Very overpriced for the lackluster quality, loud due to new sports bar-like environment, and just bad...
Read moreI thought this place was great. They are located right along the water and I was able to sit outside and look at the ocean and before dinner I walked along the pier and it was really fun. I wasn't expecting the food to be good I thought this was more a location type place. But the food was actually really delicious. I had a salmon salad and salad was fresh and the salmon was cooked perfectly and we started with buffalo chicken tenders which were awesome. I had a margarita which was just okay I hate salt in my margaritas and it was a flavored one and it never mentioned any salt. Usually flavored margaritas have sugar. The menu is a little small. The only reason I gave it four versus five stars was just the service. When you come in there were two hostesses and neither one was smiling they looked really depressed actually. And our server I don't know if she was just really busy but she was super unfriendly and just kept dropping things on the table she carried my wine glass in her armpit as she was talking to another table which I thought was kind of weird. Even when she dropped the check she just walked by and dropped it on the table and didn't say a word. I told my friend how depressed the whole staff looks and besides the bartenders literally no one was smiling or seemed happy. Definitely would come back though. It didn't ruin my night it's just weird to go somewhere and have no one...
