I gave this beach a 2 star because I've been here before but the service was unacceptable. We arrive at the beach paid for parking $ 15. We weren't even on the beach for 5mins. The lifeguard blew the whistle and as we were going down the stair and directly to the beach. Someone told us that it's close. We were stunned. So, we went to ask for a refund the males that were sitting on the bench stated that they couldn't give us a refund because they might get fired which made no sense because in the receipt it didn't inform the customers that a refund couldn't be made. They couldn't do anything and we had to discuss this with the person that's in charge. I was expecting her to come to a conclusion at least give us half of the money because it didn't seem ethical cause we weren't there for more than 5 mins. She denied our refund and claim we should call her boss. I thought she was the person that was in charge. When questioning her about her boss, she also claims that he's on vacation. Honestly, this seems as if they were making us go around in circles. When parking in other locations, there isn't any problem. You usually pay for your time. I understand this situation is different. However, it's unethical for them to not refund their customers the money. When about 10 minutes gone by, all the males left the premises (bench area) and were no longer exchanging parking for money. There seems to be a lack of communication with their colleagues because they should have stopped accepting money 30mins-1hr before the time they were going to be close. I'm writing this review in hopes that someone doesn't get into the same situation and be aware of this business. I always thought the beach to be therapeutic and relaxing. If you ask me if I were to come or recommend this beach it's less likely. Do not get me wrong it's a nice beach but the service that tags along with it can ruin the reason and intentions I came on the beach. Which is to relax and enjoy myself...
Read moreThis must be the filthiest hotel I’ve ever stayed in, in my life. I don’t expect the hotel to have new furniture, but I do expect the hotel to be clean. I booked a suite for two days, so I could attend a wedding the weekend of June 24th and was incredibly disappointed with what I had to deal with in this room. There was a dirty rag in the kitchenette sink, the ottoman and couch had food remnants on it, every piece of furniture had stains. The surfaces didn’t appear to clean, pictures broken hanging from the wall in the hall bathroom, the king size bed was broken – if you sat on the right side of the mattress the left side would go up and you would fall out the bed. The railing out of the slider had several broken slats, the windows (inside), including the drapes were dirty and broken. I went to the convenience store and wiped down the place with Lysol wipes and sprayed Lysol on every surface. No one came in to clean my room in the 2 days I was there but the cleaning crew came into my room and through my target bags, which was strange considering they didn’t even empty the garbage or change the towels. I’m not really sure what their function actually is…When I complained to the staff, who are poorly trained, they told me the hotel was booked and there was nothing that could be done. Give that I aid over $700 a night this was completely unacceptable. I would’ve been better off in a motel. My only recommendation to people is DO...
Read moreWe spent the day here last week. It was great! Coming from a country with beaches on the Pacific Ocean I’ve never experienced the tide going in and out so much and affecting the beach. It was the weirdest thing. We got there later than we wanted, around 11:30am. The beach seemed quite narrow and there were some big rocks right up against the wall. We set up and my friend, who’s a local, said the tide was in, which I didn’t think was an issue but it wasn’t long before the beach started to get narrower. Then the water started to reach our chairs. People started moving, either off the beach all together or up onto the rocks. We eventually moved everything right up onto the path overlooking the beach. One local told us the tide will start going back out around 2pm so we decided just to wait it out. The people who’d migrated to the rocks stayed there and didn’t get wet. A couple of clearly experienced ladies stayed on the beach and let the water wash up around their chairs. Our kids had an absolute blast, the water was beautiful and the beach just fantastic. We ended up staying until about 4:30 and by that point the tide was back out again, a little further than before. There was plenty of parking right nearby although we parked in an overflow lot a few minutes walk away. All in all, a great day out at this lovely beach was had and I would definitely return if I’m ever in...
