Queso Bonito — Restaurant in Humble

I personally never have experiencee excellent service here. I have eaten here several times and its always the same. I know what your saying "hell if its ao bad why do you keep going back???". Because its 500 feet from my house lol. That is the only god forsaken reason I go there. Seriously this place is not worth your money. The food is good when its good and bad when its bad. You never know what the hell your going to get. And their prices are not that cheap either. There are at least 2 other mexican food places withing 1-2 miles of this one that are cheaper, give larger portions, better service, and waaaaaay better service. I hate to say this about any place but if your Mexican you will get better service. That is the truth. At first i thought it was just me. But no. After speaking with a few friends of various races. The shared the same experiences as I. Keep in mind this is not a place i have only eaten at 1 or 2 times. I have been here at least 20 or more...

Wife and I were in the area and wanted to eat something different from the regular stuff we normally eat. I did a quick Google search and came across Queso Bonito. We saw that it was close and made the trip. Walked in and the place is pretty small. The gentleman behind the counter greeted us and asked to take our order. I ordered a beef fajita torta and my wife had a beef fajita Gordita. I also had an aqua Fresca de melon, which was pretty good by the way. The wait was a bit long but worth it. Food came to the table hot and smelled delicious. My torta was a good size and was really good. It had fresh avocado, lettuce, tomato and crema on it. It hit the spot. Authentic mexican food! I totally agree it is hard to find places like this one. If you have time, try the soups. All the flavors are on point. It's food for the soul. Try everything on the menu. You won't be disappointed.
