Saturday lunch, I tried Thai Garden Restaurant in Leo Crossing. It is in a strip near Nolt's.
Pictured below, is Pimpa from Bangkok, Thailand. She has been following my page for a little while and invited me to come see her. I'm so glad I did.
I started off with an order of crab rangoon (how do you not?) It came with four pieces along with sweet and sour sauce. They were very full and definitely real crab instead of the junk some places sell. They came out smoking hot and fantastic. The sweet and sour sauce is a little more sour than sweet. Different than I'm used to, so it's worth mentioning.
My entree came with a chicken broth soup. It was also served steaming hot. It looks similar to what you get at a hibachi restaurant, but a totally different flavor. Really good stuff.
My main dish, Pad Won Sen, comes with crystal noodles, carrots, broccoli, bead sprouts, a little bit of egg, and almost any meat choice with no additional charge. You can pick a beef, chicken, pork, or shrimp for the same price. For $2 more, you can get the seafood one with scallop, muscle, and shrimp together. I ordered mine medium heat, which means something a little different at each business. This dish definitely was right at the peak of what I could handle heat wise without being inedible. It came out steaming hot (video below) and obviously spicy hot as well. It's one of my favorite dishes to get at Thai restaurants.
The building wasn't over decorated, but enough to not feel plain. The tables and chairs are in great shape as well. If you notice in the pictures, the corner that looks like a small bar rail, that is supposed to be a little sushi bar soon. I can't wait to see how that turns out.
I appreciate them having pictures of each menu item next to the description. It helps people so much when they're deciding if they want to try something new or different.
Pimpa took great care of me, and is a total sweetheart. If you visit, tell her I sent you.

Read moreI decided to try them for the first time yesterday and I was so impressed!! I read some reviews before placing my order and I would say that they are pretty accurate. I ordered the appetizer sampler so I could try everything. Everything was so fresh. My favorite thing was the Crab Rangoon’s and spring/egg rolls that I dipped in their homemade peanut sauce!! It was so fire. I haven’t had chicken satay before so I’m not sure what it’s supposed to actually taste like, it was good on the appetizer but I liked the other options better. The chicken wings were fire!🔥 so crispy and juicy!
For my entree I had the mango curry. This was so flavorful and fresh, I loved the taste of my dish. I ordered mild and I do not tolerate spice as well as I would like. I’m kind of sensitive to it though I still try to eat spicy foods because I like them. The mild felt like more of a medium to me and I think it’s because the curry base they use might be red curry in the mango curry. Even tho it was a little spicier than I was expecting, it did not stop me from demolishing it. It was soooooo yummy, I highly recommend. I had mango sticky rice for dessert and it was one of the better mango sticky rices i have ordered. The food quality is amazing here.
Also a note on the staff. The sweetest lady ever checked me out yesterday!! Staff are friendly and kind here and they want you to enjoy your meal. I think the next time I go in I’ll dine in with my mom, because on a Saturday afternoon their store was empty!! Which was crazy to me because everyone there was so friendly and the food was so good! I highly recommend checking this place out everyone. It’s in a great location too, right next to Nolts Amish store on Dupont!!
Try it for yourself, I ate all the food too fast for photos. It was...
