Italian food is my favorite cuisine, and the Fort Wayne metro area is hone to some really good Italian restaurants. I was a little surprised when I found myself ordering baked spaghetti from a menu that featured a vast array of food at Moe's, a mom and pop dinner close to the US 24 bypass when we stopped for dinner on our way to a show at the Honeywell in Wabash. Without exception, the plate of pasta covered in a meaty sauce and an incredible blanket of some sort of creamy cheese was the best Italian dish I have had since leaving the Italian Valley of West Virginia for Fort Wayne 30 years ago. The serving was massive, so half of it came home with me. I ate it this morning for breakfast, and it was just as good after a few minutes in the microwave. Service by our very friendly server was excellent, our order came out fast and hot. My companion had a plateful of bbq chicken with bacon and onion rings on top covered in cheese. He was as pleased with his meal as I was. The only problem we encountered was finding Moe's after dark. Using Google to direct us, we managed to miss the restaurant because of the lack of lighting. When we finally found a way to get into the lot, we saw the huge, unlight sign up high enough to see if it had been daylight or if the sign had been lit. We passed it and had to backtrack to get into the cluster of poorly lit businesses. However, the experience at Moe's made the e tra work to get there worth it! We have tickets for another show at Honeywell later this month. I am disappointed that we were able to get reservations at the.on-site restaurant. We would really like another chance to...
Read more😡Where do I begin? DON'T ever go to Moe's! We waited for OVER an HOUR for food, the food was below average and half of the orders were missing items. I have never seen such HORRIBLE customer service. And I have never seen such blatantly RUDE waitresses in my life. A waitress re-filled my coffee cup with regular coffee, and I said nicely (because kindness and courtesy does still matter!) "I'm sorry, I had decaf and can't drink regular coffee." She rolled her eyes like a spoiled 6 year old, huffed and walked off. She expected me to drink it anyway??? She was spiteful and i had to wait a long time before I got my decaf filled. The girl at the cash register also had the eye rolling and rudeness down pat. It wasn't just one or two things wrong... It was everything. DON'T SUBJECT YOURSELF to total rudeness and disrespect for food that doesn't measure up. Even my 16 year old grandson thought the service was appalling. In case you didn't catch the theme of this review... Don't waste your time or money...
Read moreWe ate lunch on July 21st at Moe's and had their lunch specials which were very good. But we have a problem with our waitress wearing a mask but kept it below her mouth all the time we were served until we asked her to put it up over her mouth and nose when she did. Then a waitress ceded two parties in booths on either side of us less than a foot from us back to back. It appears that management doesn't care about this virus and its impact it could have with older and younger parties as they were not enforcing this waitresses to wear masks properly and keep customers at least six feet apart while they eat. We are very disappointed as we have eaten here many times and had good meals and good service. One waitress did a very good job having her mask on properly all the time. I wish she had been waiting on our table. We are not sure that we will be going back during...
