Nick's Country Cafe — Restaurant in Huntington

I normally don't review but in this case... The resturaunt is very clean and cozy. The hostess/waitress was very nice. However, the food was sub par. This was my first, and last, time visting this establishment.

I ordered the veggie omlet with sour dough toast and coffee. The coffe is comparable to a corner gas stations brand that's been setting for hours. The egg of the omelet was paper thin and the veggies were soaked in some sort of cook in oil. The toast was barely brown and limp with only strawberry jelly provided. Plus, my check said the omelet was 6.95 but the menu said 5.95 and 25 cents extra for sour dough, nowhere mentioned.

I've seen all the positive reviews and that's why I gave it a try. Given this experiance, I will not...

Well as a local fav establishment to eat. This business needs to better train their wait staff on friendliness. And to not over embellish the size portions. They said they have big thick French toast and a hearty side of ham. They better deliver. Not here I may say and the price needs to reflect serving size. So I left unhappy and still hungry. Ok so the locals know of Nick's 3 places in Huntington area, I have driven past many times. Today a friend said " let me show you a secret great place to eat".
