We decided to check out this location after having a fantastic experience at the Whitesburg spot unfortunately, this one just didn’t hit the same. Pros:

Kimchi was on point! Tangy, spicy, and delicious definitely the highlight of the meal. I’m not sure if it was freshly made or just really well-preserved, but it was the one thing I kept going back for.

The place was clean, and the service was friendly. So at least my disappointment was delivered with a smile. Cons:

Pricey for what you get. I’m all for paying good money for good food, but this felt like the budget menu wrapped in premium pricing. I left feeling full… of regret, not food.

Chicken was drier than my sense of humor. Seriously, it had less flavor than a boiled sock. Needed sauce, seasoning, something to wake it up.

Portion sizes were a letdown. I thought I was ordering dinner, not a snack with commitment issues. Honestly, I wanted to love it. Whitesburg set the bar high, but this visit felt like I was on the wrong end of a spin-off. Not sure if it was an off day or just a different kitchen vibe, but I won’t be rushing back to this location...

Bonchon Korean Fried Chicken - Providence offers a bright, clean and tasty new lunch experience that is very easy to reach from any of the Research Park or RSA work locations. Today we took advantage of an unplanned lunch opportunity and decided to try something new. Wow, were we glad we tried Bonchon Chicken Providence!

The staff was friendly and happy and the ordering process was quick and easy. I ordered a rice and scrambled eggs with veggies dish called Bibimbap and added chicken for a healthy, filling and sincerely tasty meal. I then completely ruined the healthy aspects of the meal by finishing with a sinfully delicious Korean donut! Way too good!

The convenience, taste, and attitude of Bonchon Chicken Providence earned my highest rating and I will be sure to return often...and hopefully be able to resist ending every meal...

If you haven’t tried Bonchon, you’re seriously missing out! Their Korean-style fried chicken, bulgogi fries, and chicken katsu were absolutely packed with bold, crave-worthy flavors.

We went with a combo of soy garlic and classic crunch wings & drum stick combo. The soy garlic is sweet, salty, and super satisfying, while the classic crunch tastes like it was fried with grandma's hands.

Bulgogi fries and chicken katsu were loaded with a flavor bomb in every bite!
