EDIT (Apr 30, 2024): I had ordered from here in quite some time. Today's experience went like this. 4:38 PM: I am right on the edge of the delivery area so I am unable to order online. However, I can make a phone order for delivery. The person on the other end of the phone answered right away and took my order. At the end of the call he told me it would 28 minutes. This was perfect because it would be delivered in plenty of time before my son had to leave for work. I ordered 3 pizzas, 1 hand tossed and 2 thins. 5:03 PM: The Tracker said my pizza was out of the oven and having a quality assurance inspection. Fancy way of saying it was out of the oven. 5:28 PM: My son left for work hungry because the pizza hadn't arrived. I looked online and the Tracker showed the pizza was still at the store. I called the phone number and the automated message said the pizzas were still at the store. 5:37 PM: I tried calling the store cancel my order. No one would answer and the tracker still showed the order was at the store. 5:39 PM: I attempted to call the Ann Arbor phone number and only got lousy automated messages and no humans to talk to. 5:41 PM: I called the store again. After going through the automated message telling my order was still at the store, I just remained on hold waiting for someone to pick up the phone. 5:59 PM: I hung up the phone and filled out the online form to file a complaint. 6:09 PM: The delivery driver showed up at my door WITH ONLY 2 PIZZAS! I took them into my hand and they were cold, room temperature cold.
When I asked the driver about this terrible experience, his response in broken English was, "I don't know, I'm only a driver" to every question I had. He literally said nothing else other than "Do you want me to take the pizza back?"
Look, I worked for Domino's delivering in a remote part of Texas. My delivery area was huge and my manager expanded it just to try and serve customers. I know exactly what happened at the store. The driver saw that my house is away from the populated areas and he chose to deliver to all the other homes because he can get more deliveries completed which means more tips for him. I know this is what happened because I worked with a guy who was exactly like this driver.
What the driver didn't know is that I had $20 in cash to give him for a tip on my $29 order because he had to drive out of the normal area.
Never give a tip to anyone before they deliver and check your orders at the time of delivery. Do not do the drop off at the door thing with any company.
Anyone who reads all this needs to know that they need to just driver over the mountain to the Jones Valley store. I've had nothing be good experiences there. This store...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUnfortunately, the time has come to leave this Dominos alone, and find a better one. We have dealt with undercooked pizza and rude employees, but our most recent situation has both affected my children and left a disgusting taste in my mouth. We went to Dominos to pick up our large cheese pizza on Friday afternoon about 2:30pm on Nov.17th 2023, and there were 3 employees standing outside, smoking vapor and cigarettes while looking inside of their trunk (random I know). When I pulled into the drive-thru, they all looked at me, and one employee finished her cigarette and started heading back inside - apparently she was working the drive-thru window that day. Well the time was 2:38pm when she entered the numeric code to get back in the side door, and I thought to myself, "She shouldn't get to me until 2:42pm IF she does the right thing and wash her hands." She was at the window, asking me for my name at 2:38pm. I was so grossed out, she was literally about to take her unwashed hands that did who knows what else besides smoke outside and pick up my pizza. I politely asked her to please wash her hands before she picked up my pizza, and she simply said 'yes ma'am." Another employee, ended up handing me my pizza instead. Before I accepted it, I asked him if they did anything to my pizza because I asked her to wash her hands, and he said no that she simply asked him to give it to me.
This Dominos has clearly changed management and lowered standards since we moved to the area in late 2019 and ate there almost twice a week. My kids understand the effects of smoking on their bodies, and they did not need to watch any of the parking lot interactions occur while waiting in line. Do it behind the store, not in view of customers. And we all know how much smoke vaping produces, it was unacceptable. Hopefully this Dominos improves in the future both with their employees and the food (pizza was NOT good at all!), but we will use the Dominos in Five Points (they actually butter the crust!) or the one in...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI placed an online order last week and was given a coupon code to use the next week, for 50% off the pizza portions of the order, also to be placed online. I just tried to use it, got the message it was time sensitive and couldn't be added. I called the store to get help and was talked over by Josh, the manager on duty as I tried to explain the problem (I started the phone call by telling him I had a problem), and then was told they aren't doing 50% off. I told him I had an email I received this morning reminding me to use the code- which had to be used online at the same store as the previous order - since it expires on the 11th. (It's the 8th now.) Josh refused to honor the coupon, despite my having clear proof that I had received it and was trying to use it within the time frame given. I asked to speak with the manager and was told he was the on-duty manager. I asked for the name of his manager, and rather than give it to me, he told me his manager wasn't in the store. I asked when he would be in and was given a time tomorrow. I asked again for the name and was told again the manager wasn't in the store. I had to tell Josh that I didn't ask if the person was in the store, that I'd asked for the name. I finally got Allen's name and will talk to him tomorrow. I hope they will make this right. Because the order was for a party, I had to go ahead and order it. If Allen won't make this right, I'll be talking to corporate. If the local store isn't going to honor corporate's coupons, the public needs to know so we can all get pizzas somewhere else. For the record, we order from them at least twice a month and always buy at least 3 large pizzas and a dessert. We're good customers and I'd hate to have to start using another location or...
