I'll admit, I came in hungry and tired so I had a bit of a funky mood when I realized my only option was tacos (no you can't just order any or all of the amazing food you see in these pics. Check the website to find out what the one daily menu item is. Yes, just one.) The shells, cheese, and sour cream were store bought, possibly also the salsa and black beans. On top of that I was going to have to IKEA these tacos from the mountain of individual plastic containers and wraps in which it came disassembled.
I was ranting and raving the whole way home to my friend about how I was hungry and now had to wait to eat, and I was sure these dinky portions weren't going to be enough for four tacos. But I was hungry so when I got home I did start assembling and, for all my fussing, I must admit the tacos were good. I finished every bite, everything just stretched, and while I wasn't stuffed, I was satisfied.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was fortunate to find Heaven's Healthy Kitchen in time for the holidays. I found the food to be slightly above average. I ordered mac and cheese, cornbread dressing and banana nut bread. I enjoyed all of the side dishes. However the mac and cheese and dressing was a bit too seasoned/salty for my taste. Also, I believe the mac and cheese contained turmeric. The turmeric color stained the brackets on my ceramic braces and I could not finish it. I hope he can list the main ingredients of each dish so customers are aware upfront (also for those allergic to certain ingredients). My mom is sensitive to spicy foods and there was something spicy in the mac and cheese that burned her mouth. The banana nut bread (my favorite item) was delicious, but just very heavy. You could only eat like a slice and feel super full. It is not easy to find vegan dishes during the holidays though, so I'm glad the chef was able to accommodate my request.
Update: I raised my rating from 3 stars to 4 stars because of the great customer service. Chef offered me a free meal and was very conversational and makes you feel welcome. He truly cares about his food and his customers and I think his business will excel...
