The quality and flavor of the meals saved this from a lower rating. Also I am giving benefit of the doubt. This is based on today’s experience. We came in the early afternoon. The bar was about half full and the tables just under half capacity. We got seated right away and got our drinks. The staff was very short handed. A bartender and a server/cook. While we were looking at our menus a larger group came in about ten minutes after us. Their order was taken before us. The server had to cook their food at a small cooking station then get their orders to them and then after that our food was cooked. We had to wait nearly a half an hour after we ordered to be served. However…Here is where I give the benefit of the doubt. It is a Monday early afternoon after a normal lunch rush time. They might be short staffed because of the holidays…I don’t know and maybe someone who comes here often can help clarify the staffing situation. The 2 on staff were very friendly and did the best they could with what they had. I do think this place could do with a cook station that can handle more than one table at a time. Otherwise, it is a cozy little spot in town and the burger options are really good. The tater tots were pretty darned good too. My advice is to be patient and if you are looking for a quick meal, this isn’t the spot to go to. You will be waiting longer than most places…but the good food might pay off for one to have patience. Owners, I’d address that staffing issue. When I worked a pub and grill the owner would come in and help when short handed. Overall, I enjoyed the meal, and luckily I was in no rush today. I've been coming here since I was a kid. The change in ownership a few years ago was a hugely positive change for the Iron Horse Inn. So much has stayed the same (in a good way!) and the things that needed to be modernized have been. What really sticks out to me is the food. We went in for burgers and I was blown away by how good everything was. Two of us got the the bluer than blooze burger and my friend got the Chad burger. The portions were wonderful, the price was very good and a huge breath of fresh air in an area where I feel like prices are raising in other restaurants perhaps a bit too much. My burger was cooked beautifully and the fries were insanely tasty.

Bathrooms were clean, music wasn't too loud, and drinks were very good too! The staff was kind and prompt with service as well.

If you are a local, make sure you add this to your routine eats list. If you're from out of town, you will not regret...
