Iron Mike's Tavern — Restaurant in Huron Charter Township

Iron Mikes Tavern in New Boston Mi. I put comment on your page thinking you care what your customers thought but you must not or you wouldn't of deleted it. I have always heard good things about this place and even been there twice before experiencing good food and service. But now I have to ask if the place is under new management because my wife,two sons and I went there last night and we were the first of 4 groups that sat down within 10 mi. all with about the same amount of people (3 - 4) and all order basically the same type of food (burgers). Our order went in first but ended up being the last to come out in almost an hour. The food was over cooked, dry and burnt. the toppings was to be on the side ended up diced and on top of the order. We complained to the waitress and requested she took the one burger off the bill it so bad it smelled like rotten meat. none of could finish our meals they were bad. All we got the waitress asking for my name and phone number so the owner could call me. The manager didn't even come over to the table to acknowledge our complaint or apologize. We will never go there again nor will we ever recommend...

OK so let me just say that I ALMOST didn't go here because some of the reviews. But they were wrong. The menu prices ARE the same. There is new management. The food was really good. Very affordable. We got 2x 24 piece wings(excellent), a cup of chili(good), and fries(okay). I also tried the sliced fried redskins potatoes.... and wow they are Amazing! Pepper jack cheese balls were good, but eat them fast because they harden pretty quick and aren't as good. Beer is cheap! Our waitress was amazing! She was very helpful. The atmosphere was a classic bar environment... so if that's not your thing.. then sorry. I read through the negative reviews and didn't experience any of that. I called ahead and asked about the "menu having much lower prices than what people were charged, and they explained that that is no longer the case as it is...

Went in to get dinner last night, got our drinks and decided to play Keno. The bartender acted like I was bothering her when I got my slips but let it slide...Ready to order, waitress starts to take our order, says hold on a second, walked over to another table, took their order, then another table and they order drinks, walk by us again to make popcorn. When she finally made it back to table I told her she was rude for doing what she did. She tried to apologise by saying she has never been told she was rude before. I was mad so I said we would pay for the drinks but not be eating there. She then walked around the restaurant telling all the other tables that I told her she was rude. Pretty bad service you...
