El Patio — Restaurant in Hutchinson

So, I tried this little place for the first time as a part of a "cash mob" designed to support the business as a result of some street closings that had really.hurt their traffic.

I am so glad I went! The food was amazing, the al pastor street tacos with their green sauce were fantastic, the rice and beans were perfect, the chile relleno street tacos were a surprise. All in, just great food.

The service took a while but that was because of the cash mob, there was a line out the door, all their seating was full and its not a very place to begin with but even then, once they took our order it was only about 8-10 minutes for our food to be prepared.

It's a small, family operated place and you can see right into the kitchen where the cooks are doing everything from chopping fresh onions to making tortillas to order, right there with an old stamped metal tortilla press.

This place is extremely delicious and in my opinion the best spot for mexican food in town. The tacos are amazing and a plate will only set you back $9 for three tacos of your choice with a side of rice and beans. The homemade salsas are delicious and my favorite, the salsa macha is spicy but tasty. The staff is very nice and take good care of you while you sit and eat in their very cozy restuarant. Make sure to bring cash as that's the only form of payment they accept but I have seen them accept a check before, but definitely no debit/credit cards. I love this place so I had to add it to google maps as it wasn't there and I'm sure it'll help their business bring in...

3 small carne asado tacos and two beers cost $25. There are no prices anywhere. I am not sure what anything costs. Small hole in the wall resteraunt. The food was good but for the price I could have gone anywhere and got this amount of food. Was really hoping that this place would be something more than what it was. You share hot sauces and trays with other tables. So after the table next to me was done with the salsa tray, I got it. Not exactly the cleanest of places. There is still a can of coke upside down under my table, and I can only wonder how long it's been there. The atmosphere is less than appeasing....
