This is a multi-visit review. Please read it all to get the full picture. Burger Theory has amazing steak and burgers. Very flavorful. Some fun combos you won't find elsewhere, plus, they have a secret menu, or you can build your own! Also on the menu are salads, fish, onion rings, and veggies options, as well as several appetizers and, of course, a whole page of drinks and desserts. We have tried several burger options and, most recently, the siriachi sirloin steak - AMAZING! Try it! You'll be glad you did!
I must edit this review. We went to Burger Theory August 27th around 1 p.m., with a long-time friend who was visiting. We all ordered burgers. I asked for mine medium, the men had theirs (Philly burgers and fries) medium well done. My burger (Sirachi) came nearly raw inside. Unfortunately, I didn't realize this until I cut it in half ( yes, it looked more red than pink inside) and took a bite. It tasted totally raw. Tell me, in company, do you spit that out? Ugh, I had to swallow it. To ease the taste, I tried the cole slaw side, and it was flavorless. I asked the server for the burger to be replaced and cooked properly. The replacement was again done on the outside, but still pretty pink inside. But It did not look or taste raw, so I ate it. Another Mistake! I started having stomach and intestinal pain about 90 minutes later and spent the next 2 hours in the bathroom in agony. To avoid sharing too much information, I must say that I would rather have not paid ($52) for this bout of obvious food poisoning. I hope it will be short-lived. Watch what you are served here. WE WON'T BE BACK!
an earlier update... We went to Burger Theory again on May 12th at around 5 p.m . - taking 2 guests. They had burgers, which they enjoyed. My husband and I decided to try the fish and chips. HUGE MISTAKE! The breading on the fish is thick and heavy, like 3 times as much breading as there is fish-ugh. Then it was overcooked horribly so that the fish was also way overcooked even after peeling the nasty breading off it was not pleasant to eat. They bring you more tartar sauce than there is fish and less Cole slaw than there is tartar sauce. It comes with fries. We chose unseasoned fries, and they were great. Way better than the fish, sadly. I love fish and chips, but these were a huge disappointment. The place was not busy at all. There really was no excuse for this travesty of a meal. So, although the burgers and steak are great, I would have to advise that you avoid the fish.
Yet another visit was on January 22, 2024. We had the Prime Cheese sandwich. Think Philly Cheesesteak... First, the sandwich was very small and filled with onions and green peppers and mushrooms. These were far more abundant than the meat, which wastender but slivered thin and overcooked and super greasy. Amazingly, they still tasted great. The fries this time were way overdone and more like the dregs in the bottom of the bin than the new order we had just placed. So, $38 later, we left, still feeling hungry. So much for a lunch special.
Another visit on March 25th 2024, found us getting the Hawaiian burger (ask for sauce on the side, it is very messy), and the fish and chips. The burger was tasty, the brought me Sriracha sauce instead of teriyaki sauce. Even without the sauce, it was a messy burger, and lots of napkins were required. But the flavor was great. The fish was just ok. Large portions, but laid out ON the fries, so those were covered with fish oil, too. It's still a container of Cole slaw that holds about 2 Tbsps. It is ridiculously small, especially. Considering that it's made from cabbage. So, that's strike 2 for the fish. Again, $38 for lunches pretty pricey. If I haven't mentioned it before, they have seasoned fries. So if you want normal fries you have to ask for them.
Sadly, Burger Theory is very hit and miss...

This place has been hyped up so much all over the radio, billboards, local media. I was expecting something really amazing, but the experience just fell flat in so many respects. This is coming from someone who was really trying to like this place.
Location is great, decor is very nice and comfortable, and everything was very clean. That's a plus at least.
Waited 5 minutes to be contacted by an employee upon arrival and waiting to be seated, even though a few walked by. I almost left, but the lure of awesome food and giving them a bit of credit for being new expanded my patience a bit. It wasn't even busy, maybe 5 tables...
Between the host and my server greating and seating was done with just zero enthusiasm, very ho hum, I've had more memorable experiences at Dennys. 7 minutes to even bring my beverage after seating, and no cocktail napkin or coaster thingy for my beer.
Menu is completely uninspired. I'm not sure what I was expecting but Gordon Ramsey Burger it's certainly not. Honestly, larger and more interesting variety of burgers at Red Robin.
Speaking of Red Robin, let's talk sauces.....none were provided or offered for the really underseasonsed and overcooked fries! What the heck? Nothing on the table, no salt, pepper, vinegar, ketchup, mustard...nothing. Also, where are my options? Peruvian purple fries, Yukon Gold, steak fries? Garlic Truffle infused fries? How about even just regular fries cooked and seasoned with some finesse? They literally taste like the frozen fries you would make in an air fryer at home.
Burger was decent, but totally forgettable 4/5 Maybe.
Price was ok, certainly spendy for what it is. 25$ all in for a burger, fries, small beer.
This place is trying to be a higher class, gourmet experience and is just not getting it done in any way other than location and decor.
I would be willing to re-evaluate if they bring in some kind of chef that knows what they're doing and use some better ingredients, but for right now you'll be better served at Five Guy's or Red Robin and unless something changes I have no...
Read moreI have always heard about good things here and was told to give it a shot. On this night, I was actually on the hunt for a burger and just really didn't want to make a trip to the Thorton area. So, I set out to Burger Theory after the good things that were said to me over a year ago. Man, I tell you it was worth it. I ordered the BT Boss, and it was worth it. This burger will not disappoint and will satisfy any man's hunger. It was well put together and destroyed. This burger was very juicy and cooked perfectly. It was balanced all around with not one ingredient overpowering another. It was worth every red cent. The services were very good, and the lady kept checking on us very often. The atmosphere instantly you could tell it was very relaxed. The service waitress was very patient and relaxed and kept checking in on us. The restaurant is a very modern look with multiple TVs above the table and above the bar. The bar was an in center and open and very inviting. The bathrooms are located in the sallyway between Burger Theory and Holiday Inn. They were very clean. The menu has pre made burgers and a build your own style burgers. The menu has a variety of other items but is mostly focused on burgers. So there are options. Definitely will come again. This place is in my personal Top 3 and is fire...😊🔥
08/13/25 Today I had the Southern Burger. That burger just hit good. I couldn't stop eating the burger even though I was getting full. It was a little salty with the combination of the blue cheese and the season on the burger, but it was...
