My son is incarcerated at IDOC and Treasure Valley coffee the vending aspect of it stocks the vending machines in the visitation areas. I have had several complaints about Treasure Valley Vending and have spoken with them in the past. Most recently on Sunday, January 19th, my granddaughter and I went to visit my son. That day I bought a total of five items that totaled $13.25. I didn't have anything to eat or drink that day while visiting. I always buy my son a sandwich, and oatmeal pie and a soda or a energy drink. That day I bought him a soda. So that was three items sandwich, soda, and oatmeal pie. I bought my granddaughter jalapeno Cheetos and a soda. I use two different cards my credit union card which I was charged for one of the sodas and the sandwich on. The other card was my Chase bank account and I was charged $41.50 for items that I did not purchase. I only had three items on this card and I was charged for 10 items. I am very aware of how to push the button until it says thank you and have a good day before you walk away from the machine because someone else could come up and charge your card. On top of that you get charged a $5 hold on every item that you purchase if it's in a different machine. Well one was in the Coke machine and one was in the chips machine and then the other was also I think in the same machine as a chips. Regardless I was charged $41.50 in hold fees and even after the hold fees were released there was still 10 items that I was charged for yet I only had three on this debit card. I do not trust this company I think I've been ripped off and now I am very cautious about any transactions that take place on my bank cards by this company. I know exactly what I purchased on this day in question and I have complained to the visiting officers and I'm leaving this negative review because I am tired of people thinking they should have access to my bank account . I am on a medical leave from having surgery for 4 months and I do not have the money in the bank for them to tie up or to charge me for items that I did not purchase. I will be filing a complaint with my bank to have these charges put back into my account. When I called the lady at Treasure Valley Vending she said well every time you use a vending machine there's a $5 to $10 hold on your card and that if you buy it out of different machines it's a hold for each machine that you use. That is ridiculous that people are not getting charged exactly for what a person is purchasing and that they are tying up their money. That should be illegal! Every week now if I use a card in the machine I am jotting down every item that I buy the cost of that item and I am also discussing this with other visitors that are visiting at the same time to make them aware to watch their accounts and if I have any more problems I'm going to file a complaint with the Better...
Read moreUPDATE: despite the message that you left below (which feels like fluff at this point) we’ve still been able to resolve the charges and late fees from the horrible water company that you passed our business off to. I’ve been told someone would call us back or try to help us resolve this, but it’s pretty clear you have no interest in following through when you literally sold your customers accounts to another company. Super disappointing.
We had Treasure Valley Coffee deliver our water for many years. Without telling customers (our neighbors agree) they sold this water delivery service to a company in FL (t Primo Water North America - a 1 star company on Trust Pilot) and it has been an absolute mess. (literally and figuratively) Even though we've moved on to another water delivery service locally, we still can't get our account cancelled with the FL company because they don't even seem to know they are running a water delivery service in Idaho (even though they are very good at billing for it) All of this after skipped deliveries, dirty water bottles, leaky water bottles, etc. TVC cs has told me several times that they would try to help fix things, but they've never followed through. (going almost a year now and I'm talking about hours on the phone with some random company in FL - we can't even cancel, which of course causes the account to rack up late fees for water that we aren't receiving.) Hate to leave a bad review for TVC but I've called many times trying to get help with no...
Read moreI was offered service by the sales/driver and since I had someone at my shop at the time who drank coffee, we opted to get water service and a box of coffee. It was more spendy than i would have liked, but it was a SERVICE so I opted for the convenience. When my shop mate moved on, i stuck with the water service, but by then the delivery became a problem as they only deliver my location in the mornings on thursdays. I am only open in the mornings on Mon/wed. I tried several times to accomodate their schedule but it just wasnt going to work out. Delivery was NOT flexible, difficult to get return calls. Schedules conflicted, never got or left messages. Communication was difficult with driver. Cancelled and made arrangements with company to pick up equipment. Last straw was when I called to accomodate for equipment pick up i was VERY SPECIFIC on what my shop availability was. The pick up driver called 4x, left 2 msgs about how i wasnt there for him to pick up and he had made a special trip to get it. Service was disappointing at best. Not accomodating, not flexible, and did not pay attention to the hours I gave for delivery/pickup. Did not warrant the extra expense and convenience. Probably would be fine for businesses that have "regular" hours. Do not recommend for small businesses who are watching their budget and...
