The food here is great, but it was my first time ordering over the phone to take out. The woman barely spoke english and mistook me ordering the taco plate because I said the "Three Taco Plate" cause that's kinda what it is a taco plate with three tacos. When I said I'll take some chips and salsa too, she mistook that for two and piled on two to the order. So it came out to three dinners, and two orders of chips and salsa.
I will go here again, but never ordering over the phone again. I even tried explaining it was a mistake/misunderstanding and she just spoke spanish/broken english at me (I could barely understand her) insisting that it was what I ordered with a snarky grin. Even with me pointing to what the text said and saying it was a misunderstanding. I understand language barriers are difficult, but the person taking a phone order should understand well enough to communicate.
Edit: In fact, I don't intend to go here anymore. Reading the reviews and so on for this place. Yes there is an inconsistency with what hours they say they are open and not. Earlier that day I went in and no one was at the counter, the door was wide open. Another man pulled up as I was leaving and said "They should be open", he did a phone order so I decided to as well.
Don't bother if you can't speak spanish, the woman who took my order over the phone is very snarky, uses some talk to text thing to translate (she had my words in a text somehow) which was what she use to argue that to her 3 Taco Plate meant 3 Taco Plates because she doesn't understand plural in english, also taking the word too because I said "Add some chips and salsa too" to mean two.
You can do better going to Rita's little taco stand, open mon-sat for a quick bite. Rose Cafe is also excellent and consistent with their hours, they've never gotten an order wrong. Also if you're craving Street tacos, Farmers' has a crew that makes them outside most weekdays. Just avoid people who attempt to rip you off based on a...

This place is a total gem! I wasn’t prepared to fall in love with Mexican AND Japanese food in one sitting, but here we are…
🌮 First off, their Mexican food is next-level. The street tacos? Mind-blowing. The nopal tacos? Life-changing. Fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. [GIF: someone doing a happy food dance]
🍱 Then came the Japanese dishes… CHEF’S KISS. The tempura veggies were light and crispy perfection. The sesame chicken and broccoli was hands down some of the BEST I’ve ever had—savory, sweet, and so satisfying. 👨🍳
They’ve nailed two totally different cuisines under one roof — and somehow make both feel like the star of the show. Whoever’s back there cooking deserves a raise and a trophy.
💯 WILL be back. And I’m bringing...
Read moreDO NOT get confused by the menu. When I see a place that does Mexican and Japanese my radar screams red flags. NOT this place; first we had the Mexican with a cautious mindset. The food was so good… I mean over the top good… and the price was amazing… it was so good the whole table thought we should at least try something from the Japanese menu… we were blown away, I absolutely could not believe how amazing it was. If I lived in the area I would eat here every day!!! The service was great as well… they tolerated me being openly skeptical about seeing Japanese, Mexican and burgers all...
