The Rose Cafe — Restaurant in Ignacio

Went in to try this place out for the first time and surprisingly their parking lot was full. I had an okay experience. I think I interacted with the owner which is a very nice and welcoming lady. Food was okay, I ordered a shredded beef chimichanga. Meat was tender and I like the green chile. The rice and beans weren’t my favorite, rice was halfway cooked and had some crunchy pieces to it.

My family and I went there recently and just didn’t have the same experience as the first time I had gone by myself with my baby boy. Didn’t enjoy the vibe from one of the servers. Felt like they were bothered because my son would be screaming here and there (of joy or teasing). I do my best to support you all through this pandemic - we eat takeout way more than we should! Tonight, was amazing! Drive on by surprise$2.99 fee on bill, asked about it and server stated she did not see it on menu either. She asked add was told for extra prep. We ordered straight off the menu..I consider this theft and dishonest. Donate to children or disabled veterans or battered spouses not to a greedy owner. Other places in town to eat.
