Friendly Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Illinois

My husband took quite a few people there for lunch during the storm in August as they were working to help restore power. They said the food was good! The issue is the amount he paid and signed to pay did not match once the credit card bill came. He has his receipt showing a 20 dollar tip and it was increased to a 25 dollar tip when it was ran. He is now left trying to explain to his company why there is a discrepancy and unable to reach the owners to discuss as the woman he spoke to today said “oh I am sure none of the girls would do that”. It very well Could be an honest mistake but when answering to your work regarding “mistakes” he can’t very well tell them “the girls wouldn’t do that”.

He will now be left filing police reports and having all of the staff fill out statements to account for the missing money. It’s unfortunate that your business has to endure this….. but I urge others to check their receipts just in case.

Update 10/5 Received a call back today. The lady was very nice and working towards righting the situation, so no need to file police reports or take this any further.

I have been there for breakfast, lunch and dinner, I have not been disappointed in the food or service for either. I have been there for pool league also. I know they measure the well drinks, I like well drinks, so I can order a double or drink beer. Parking can be tough if you show up at meal times, some times you have to cross the street. Bartenders and servers are very attentive and ask about how they can help you. If they recognize you they treat you like family and banter back and forth. They do a fine job of handling the bar and grill needs of their customers. I had the best BLT I've had in a long time, more bacon that I have seen on a single sandwich ever. Against our better judgement because of the last experience we had here years ago, we tried to get breakfast here again. After about a 25 minute wait and all the folks coming in after us getting their food I over heard the waiting staff talking to the kitchen about how our order was never put in. The staff was never going to let us know there was a problem even though I could plainly hear them talking about us. Like hello... I'm right here and have ears.
