Cozy, casual, homestyle and roadhouse rustic. The Magic Kitchen is an awesome choice for Thai cuisine. A wide varied menu with a large array of all Thai items with some hard to find items (Jackfruit Sticky Rice for one). You are welcomed to carry in your own alcohol and enjoy at your table, BYOB style. Cash only, no credit or debit. See the complete menu in the pictures in this review. Fish sauce and pepper flakes are available upon request. The service was fast and friendly. Our food was served hot and seasoned well. I had the Thai Green Curry and it was some of the best I have had!Carry out was available and did a brisk business. The restaurant was clean and lit well. All in all I would highly recommend Thai food at The Magic Kitchen. Well done to the staff and crew. KUDOS!!! 🍽️

I think one of the best Thai restaurants anywhere. Dishes aren't as "oily" as many Thai places. Only accept cash, so be prepared, and it's a byob restaurant as they do not have a liquor license. They know how to make dishes hot when requested. I always stop when in town! Smaller menu selection, but awesome Thai traditional favorites!

Very authentic foods, been at this location for years and has established return customer base which they know by name. Bring your own liquor!

One of my absolute favorite restaurants in Springfield. The Magic Kitchen has been owned and operated by the same family for 35+ years. It is a super casual, no frills spot with delicious authentic Thai food. They don't serve alcohol but you can byob. And, they don't accept any type of credit or debit card but "will gladly accept cash or a local check". My personal fave is the Cashew Chicken -Hot. ($9.95 Generous portion served with rice) I can honestly say that I have tried almost every dish on the menu and have never been disappointed. (Note: You can choose Mild, Mild+, etc. all the way to Hot - "Hot" is not for the faint of heart!) Locally loved for their amazingly thin and flaky egg rolls with peanut sauce. ($3.95 for 4) I recommend finishing your meal with a slice of homemade pie. Limited seating so be prepared to tailgate and socialize while you wait for a table. Carry out...

I don't like to give bad reviews, but this place was just the pits. It was very close-quarters dining at dinner rush and the food took longer than expected to come out. When the food did come out, it was soupy and lukewarm and smelled like wet dog, spilling off the plate. And the drinks, although both different flavors, tasted like hand soap. To top everything off, we found out we couldnt pay with a card, it had to be cash. The workers informed us there was a sign on the door indicating this, but after a double check we found there was indeed no sign. We had to dig around for all the loose change we could find to pay. This was a year ago, so maybe they've improved, but be warned about...
