Big Boy — Restaurant in Imlay City

Review post COVID shutdown: service is terrible at times, food isnt great either. Ive gone 4 times for dine in since it reopened. 2 times were ok, uneventful. 3rd time, my french toast had little to no egg, the eggs were way overcooked on the outside and undercooked on the inside, amd when i talked to the waitress about it, she said "sorry, im not sure if the manager will comp you butbibcan ask". No offer of replacement, and i told her i wasnt interested in adjusting the bill. 4th time (9/18/20), The new staff doesnt know the menu, or that even a kids menu exists, resorts to saying things like "i dont know" or "im new here" and asks "do you want me to find out"... yes, i sure do want you to ask of there is a kids menu, hello!! The food took about 30 mins, for burgers and fries, didnt bring the ranch i asked for. The manager asked how things were going, and i said slow. His response was a condensing "sorry, drivethru is busy". I requested the wait stagg to put a takeout order in when the food finally arrived. When we were done eating 15 minutes later, i asked her how much longer, and she said she hadnt put it. I said forget it, we are ready to leave. Im pretty sure im done with this place. It sucks there isnt much else out here. Oh, and the ppl who were seated next to us, after us, were done eating their fish n chips by the time our food arrived. So weird, the ignorance. Monday evening, 5:30, about 5 tables in the whole restaurant. Sat down, immediately saw an older gentlemen with his mom, thought "I'm going to pay their bill". Went to talk to a waitress at the waitress station, they looked it up and told me that bill was already paid. Seemed strange, bring only half way through their meal. Get our (my young daughter and myself) drinks then I noticed the waitress gave them their bill (same waitress)... No one else was seated in the vicinity I was speaking and pointing to). Went to the waitress and told her, so I then paid their bill. Anyway, order a Slim Jim with O rings, salad and pretzel bites altogether. Salad taking forever, figured I'd get it with dinner 🙄 so I mention to waitress... She brings it. Daughter uses $1 to go to the little kiddie rip off machines in the forier..dried up old putty. Attempt to get money back, nope they have to call manager and manager has to call vendor lol...no money back for my daughter. Get semi warm food, no sauce for pretzel bites, had to ask, waitress doesn't know how to utilize her time and goes to the waitress station numerous times and back out to our section without sauce, while bites just sit getting colder... Brings out one of the sauces (supposed to get two different), ask for other, takes 5 minutes, daughter's is done eating (famished since not having eaten since lunch went just went to Ortho). This type of stuff just happens way too much these days. Getting pretty old. Plus the prices are stupid. My bill was $30!...

First of all I'm pregnant and on my way to the bathroom there's water everywhere on the floor making its a hazard for me because there was a bucket collecting water from the dripping ceiling. Bathroom sink handle damn near fell off along with the soap dish barely hanging on the wall. I go back to my seat and I order a slim Jim with fries, tried to get broccoli soup but was told they haven't had any in quite a while and received the same response for the cabbage soup. My husband went to order the endless spaghetti but was told he could only have 2 plates what???, chicken strips with fries but told they have no chicken strips,, so he ordered a big boy with fries and some cheese sticks. Cheese sticks never came, his fries and mine looked like they were cooked well over an hour ago, his burger was burnt, no sauce barely any lettuce, my slim Jim literally tasted like the ham was a month old, at this point I said I'm not eating this... the manager came over and said we are making you new fries, said she would bring some napkins but apparently customer service isn't her expertise because she never came back to our table. This place should be condemned, it should not be open, the establishment is very run down the staff serve you old food that is obviously not properly stored or cooked...
