Went to aunt bees today to get breakfast and they couldn’t hear you on the headsets and asked us to repeat ourselves multiple times.. cut me off while trying to order to say if I’m in the passenger they can’t hear. So I got out of the car and walked to the mic to give our order. Very rude over intercom to start with. So naturally we get frustrated. We get to the window and the lady is giving off massive attitude and can’t handle the reaction we have. So I go in and ask what the problem is, atmosphere is very bad, you have 5 people squished back there. They don’t know who’s the manager and who’s not, apparently about 3 people are managers? Anyways their energy travels outside of their business onto their customers and they take no accountability for their attitude. It’s not our fault you can’t hear?!? We just got home and I looked at my food and this was hidden in my bacon? So wouldn’t recommend going there. I’ll be surprised if I go back.

Food is acceptable. Today when I went in for breakfast, the lady who took my order was unfriendly and uncivil. I gave her a smile and she stared me down like I was a roach. She acted like some folks do when they see that “you’re not from around here“. Had to listen to the staff complain about what a crappy day it is, and how her hand hurts and how so-and-so makes five dollars more an hour than she does. Then there was the gnome holding a sign that said “GO AWAY!“ Such is the vibe at Aunt Bea’s - Independence. I do not recommend this place unless you’re already miserable and don’t mind further mistreatment.

Aunt Bea’s was recommended to us by the front desk lady at our hotel, was not disappointed at all. We had ice cream and fries. The banana split I had was very delicious and worth the money, my wife said the fries were very good (she judges places by the fries:) and her ice cream cone was perfect. Staff was friendly and very welcoming. I would say this is a local hotspot and right across the street from the local school.

My wife and I were in the Independence area, and our children were hungry. It was around 4:30pm on Thursday July 10th. My son wanted a hot dog, so we went to Aunt Bea's BBQ. We walked in the door, and there were three guys who seemed like stoners working there. One was standing at the counter. I smiled and said "hello". He gave me a mean look and walked towards the back of the kitchen without saying a word. After about a minute of waiting, one of the other guys came to the counter in front of me and just stood there. He didn't ask if he could take my order or anything. I asked him if he was going to take our order, and he kind of shrugged and mumbled something. My son ordered two plain hot dogs. My wife and I got BBQ, and my daughter ordered a cheeseburger. We each ordered a soft drink. They only gave us three cups. My wife nicely pointed it out to the guy. He seemed to get really irritated by this. He said my son didn't order one. I specifically heard him order one. The guy messed with the register for a minute, and finally gave us another cup. We went to a table to wait for our food. We could hear the three guys making fun of my son's order of two plain hot dogs. They were laughing and being very loud about it. I fail to find anything funny about a child ordering two plain hot dogs. My son heard them, and it hurt his feelings. I started to say something to them, but knew it would get ugly if I did. We were also afraid of what they would do to our food if we did say something. We finally did get our food after a long wait. It was nothing special. The BBQ tasted like the kind you get at the grocery store and microwave. Both of my children said their food was not very good. The only thing that was good was the french fries. We could hear the three guys talking and laughing very loudly while we were eating. Those three that were working that day have no business dealing with the public. They were rude and unprofessional. It was a terrible experience from the moment we walked in the door until the minute we left. You don't have many dining options in Independence. Anything is better than being...

Where do I even start with this. We ordered four orders: a pancake with a side of fries, a hot ham and cheese sub with potato wedges, a large BBQ sandwich with extra BBQ sauce, and a BBQ plate with fries, hush puppies and a bun as toast. The drinks were two milkshakes and a tea. They repeated the order about two times back to us on the intercom, not one person but two. The second time realizing they did not say the potato wedges with the bbq sandwich or any drinks, so we had them repeat it again at the window. Well, after about 30 minutes of sitting at the window (including 10 minutes just waiting for the intercom) they finally came and asked if it was cash or card. We asked them to repeat the order. They did not catch the potato wedges and they only got one shake and the tea not two. At first they tried to say we had to pay for the milkshake separately, when we didn't even pay for the first order, which would have costed us more in tax that we did not want to spend (it was already 41 dollars originally). We managed to get the shake, but after further inspection of our food we still did not get the order of potato wedges. When we started back on our trip, we opened our food only to discover the bbq itself was season less, no sauce, and so greasy it was inedible. When we called and asked for a manager, she at first tried to only say sorry but ended up saying she could replace the food the next time we were back into town and took our name. She would not offer a refund; actually insisted that she couldn't at all even if it wasn't eaten (along with missing a full part of what we wanted to order). Altogether, I was very disappointed with how Aunt beas was today compared to the usual fast, friendly and good service and food we get there. Please watch out and please, whoever is running this specific area, do...
