My husband and I often talk about stopping here and we finally did today. We were talking about coming back before we even left. The deep fried mushrooms were amazing! Country fried steak was delicious and my husband loved the wedge salad! The server was awesome! She tempted us with a s'mores lava cake or something like that. We really wanted it but were too full so we will have to come back! Sitting on the porch after dinner, watching the rain and listening to the Thunder Roll almost constantly was an added bonus!

Cooking at 8000' is especially problematic given such a high altitude and so it was gratifying to be served a perfectly cooked pot roast and perfectly cooked breaded shrimp appetizer. The pot roast beef was lean, generous and cooked to perfection falling apart with the least of fork pressure. The pot roast vegetables, which included carrots celery and green beans, were perfectly cooked to a firm consistency retaining all the vegetables flavor in a light complimentary sauce.

from the moment we walked into the lodgepole grill at daniel’s summit lodge, we knew it was going to be good. rustic woodwork and warm smiles set the tone. live background acoustic music matched to the mountain vibe. the salmon was flawless—flaky, perfectly cooked. every bite was spot on. service was smooth, friendly, and well-timed. the lodgepole grill is mountain dining at its best.

We visited this restaurant before and remember it being slow, this second time was no different. We arrived little after 7 PM and left around 8:30-8:45 PM, mainly due to the incredibly slow service. Despite having our orders ready within 5-10minutes of sitting down, it took 30 - 40 minutes for our appetizer to arrive and another 30 - 40 minutes for our main courses. The staff informed us that the kitchen was backed up, which would be understandable if the restaurant was busy. However, with only about 3 - 4 other tables occupied in a 30-40 table restaurant, the delay was unacceptable. The food itself was mediocre at best. For a minimum of $15 per person, the quality should be much better. I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich. The chicken was likely a frozen patty that they put in the frier as well as the fries. The only difference between the spicy and the regular chicken sandwich ( a 2 dollar difference) was it had a zesty sauce and some jalapeños. Given the price, I expected a lot more in terms of flavor and quality. What saved this experience from being a 1-star review was our server. They were kind, attentive, and kept us informed about the status of our order. They refilled our drinks promptly and did their best to make our wait more bearable. Unfortunately, good service can’t entirely make up for the long wait times and lack of efficiency in...

Let me tell you America, this food... it's absolutely amazing! I mean, fantastic,I know food! . A lot of people say I'm a very, very hard person to please. The hardest. It's true. But this? This was some of the best all-around food I've had in a long, a long time. Nobody else is doing it like this. The rib-eye? Perfectly cooked. Not just good—perfect. The homemade country fried steak... unbelievable. A great, great meal people. And let me talk about the mashed potatoes. Hands down, the best mashed potatoes. The best I've ever had! You have to see it and taste it to believe it. And you know what you have to get? You have to get the fried Twinkie. It's amazing! It really is. Everything was so fresh. So, so fresh. And you can tell the chefs... they enjoy what they do. They have passion. And that, my friends, that is the key to great food. A tremendous job. A perfect 10! Nobody...

I ordered a hamburger and fries. I requested that my fries be well done. When I received my order the fries were a cold, grease soaked mess. When our waitress, who never came back to check on us, finally walked past us we had to flag her down. I told her that my fries were soggy and cold and couldn’t eat them. She just looked at me like I had three eyes! She finally said “well, I could talk to them in the back”. Talk to them in the back. No offer to get me some fresh fries or adjust the bill, since they were inedible. That’s up there with the worst dining experience I’ve...
