Not normally one to throw my full support behind a restaurant on OPENING DAY, but holy $#!+ y'all...you need to go support them so they stick around the #Southside #fortwayne for a loooooooong time. Full disclosure: we were fans of theirs YEARS ago on Dupont Road because a) they were right next door to the business we were running, b) Eduardo, the restaurant manager was delightful and an all-around great human, and c) they were the only "real" food still open when we closed shop later in the evenings. The food was always good and serviceable, but the customer service was always on point, so it was always a pleasant experience, BUT we've only had a chance to stop in ONCE since we changed locations 4 years ago because we just never go that far North... BUT, we broke our Golden Rule, and visited a restaurant on their opening day tonight because they've moved to OUR neck-of-the-woods!! AND, I'm not sure what has happened in the last 4 years; whether it is new chefs, new kitchen manager, new recipes or ? But the food was phenomenal! Sure, they were dealing with the normal opening day jitters (nervous waitstaff over-apologizing for food delays, getting missed on the wait-list, backed up bar & kitchen, etc), but it was well worth the wait...unbelievable flavors in some "simple" and "standard" Mexican-American restaurant staples, food came out hot, and portions were RIDICULOUS...best I've had this side of the Mississip! House #salsa was fine, but asked if they had something w/a little more "kick" and they brought me a "salsa flight" ๐Ÿคฏ ALSO, #protip: if you're not in the habit of taking home leftovers for tomorrow's lunch, plan to split an entree on your first outing until you see what you're dealing with! ๐Ÿ˜… All-in-all, outstanding. Congrats Eduardo & crew on the new location, and we are stoked (but a little scared of what it means for our waistlines & pocketbooks) to have you on our side of town! ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ™Œ So, go check them out when you have a chance, a little time to spare, and a hankering for some good old "Mexican restaurant" food, and remember to show them grace and patience as they work out the kinks with new menus, new staff, etc, in their new location!!

Excellent food, and service especially considering they were slammed on the first day in. The only little hiccup I had was when ordering something ala cart she brought me the dinner and charged me for it. I didn't complain, but it broke my budget a bit. We would've just shared the fajitas otherwise but I wanted to try a couple items so I also ordered a chorizo quesadilla. I will say that they do an excellent job on chorizo. If you are chorizo fan, then theirs is some of the best I've had. Everything else was very good too. The hot sauces were also very good ranging from a mild smokey flavor, to a standard green sauce, and then something very unique for the really hot option. It tasted like a thick tomato bisque with a really hard kick in it. It was both good, and unique, a combination every restaurant should strive for. It's hard to say what's the best tasting food in the world, because you become used to some really good dishes. However, when you have something that is both unique, and Delicious, that is always a winning combination. I like the little 3 sectional cups they brought the hot sauce in, but I'd suggest including a little spoon with it. It isn't practical to pour it on food the way it is, and our utensils only included a fork and butter knife. The knife was sufficient, but a spoon would be way more practical. The pricing was fair, I couldn't complain. Especially if my ala cart would've went through. $5 for the quesadilla ala cart was very fair. $2.50 tacos the other table had look great too, I'll probably try those next time. The crazy burrito I seen served at another table was huge, easily feeds two people.

I used to regularly visit Arcos when it was located north of town off of DuPont road. I loved it so much I had to travel to their new location. I am happy to report that everything was just as delicious as before. A friend and I went on a Friday night a couple weeks ago and were sat down immediately. Within a couple minutes our drinks were served alongside the always reliable chips and salsa. Only moments later the entrees arrived at the table with steam rolling off the plates. My birria tacos were incredible. The shredded beef was juicy and tender. The cheese was melted to perfection. The broth was bold with flavor but not too spicy. The fresh diced onion added a nice crispy texture to each bite. The rice was well seasoned and the refried beans as smooth as can be. If you find yourself nearby and are craving mexican, you should definitely try Arcos. I can't wait to be back. Thank you to all the staff for the excellent evening from start to finish. Keep up the great work.

We have a big family and wanted to come on Motherโ€™s Day. We expected it to be busy so Monday/Tuesday of the previous week, I tried to contact them to either find out if they took large groups or reservations. I tried calling, but the phones were down. I submitted a request for someone to contact me and never got a response. I sent a message on Facebook and someone answered quickly. I specifically asked if they took large parties and if they took reservations. They said walk-in only. I asked how much sooner should we come in, because I wanted to make sure they had plenty of time to have tables ready and they said at least an hour.

We got there an hour and fifteen minutes early and waited about an hour and a half for a table. No one in my family was upset. We expected a wait. When it was our turn to get a table, the gentleman at the counter made the comment to us along the lines of, next time we wonโ€™t be taking a large group.

I think that was so rude to say. We tried giving them as much notice as possible almost a week before and the day of. We were sat in a separate room and I think we treated the waitstaff with respect. She and the other people bringing food to the table did a great job, but the comment before seating us made me and my entire family feel bad for being there.

If you donโ€™t want a large party, please say so before hand so we can make other...
